New air clamp hanger idea

This is my idea for a new air clamp/hanger idea. Its still in the rough stage, but I will work on making a better finished product in the next week.

Materials used:
Bicycle tube 27 x 1 1/8
Bottom of a Gatorade bottle
Air pump

1. Cut the inner tube then tie it in a knot
2. Cut the bottom of the Gatorade bottle, then cut the center out, and drilled a hole in the side so the air valve can pass through.
3. Placed the inner tube inside
4. Simply put penis in and with an air pump inflate tube to desired comfort.

My test runs have been great very simple and easy to use. I did get a bit of pinching, but didn’t use a wrap. I pulled on it and there was no slip age or discomfort, so Ill be trying some hanging in the next few days. Ill keep you guys posted on further developments.

That’s one of the most ingenious and ugly PE devices I have ever seen. :)

I can make one of those, because with Winter just around the corner I won’t be using my bicycle any more until next Spring.

I can see where the pumping and quick release of air could be awkward, but the rest of it seems quite doable.

So you attach weights too… The gatorade bottle top I assume? after making holes and attaching string?

Looks like a good idea. Do you think innertube rubber will catch fire easily? I’m thinking of using a lighter to melt the ends together rather than tying it like that…

Like I said its a rough idea so far. I used materials found around the house. When I a have a chance Ill make a trip to home depo to find better stuff.

The purpose of the Gatorade bottle is to prevent the inner tube from expanding outwards, and keeping the pressure on the inside. I used a shoe lace and looped it around so I was able to hang from it. I used 15lbs with no problems, it was very comfortable, and had no issues with it moving or slipping.

I smell Nobel Prize…

Its a good idea. The only thing I see is like Monty’s air clamp it is a constriction device so one must make sure not to use it for too long at a time IMO. But as far as comfort goes, looks darn comfortable.

Your design is very Tom Hubbardish because you applied some ingenious twists to create something useful out of widely available, inexpensive components.

Innovations:

1) Simply tying the ends in a knot to seal/join them together. “Duh,” I say while slapping my forehead. As simple as it sounds, I don’t recall anyone else mentioning the knot solution before. When discussing an air clamping/hanging device made out of an inntertube years ago we were more concerned with figuring out how to join the cut ends back together to form a small donut or seal them off individually using heat, contact cement or some other adhesive.

2) A Gatorade bottle or other rigid circular device for constraint. Discussion revolved around making the equivalent of a neonatal or child-sized blood pressure cuff with a fabric covering. No one considered a simple hard circular shell. Great idea.

Notice how the tube, sized as it is in relation to the bottle diameter, forms a triangular configuration within the bottle. Excellent. Look up old posts about V shapes for hangers. Or just look at the shape your finger bones and thumb form while in a stretching grip. Big Shooter’s last picture shows the V shaped grip of his tube: clamp 018.jpg

This looks very promising.

This week I had a chance to get to home depo and find some better plastic pieces to use instead of a Gatorade bottle. This new set up works really good for hanging.

Innovative! And the new set up looks safer than the Gatorade version. I have cut my fingers trying to open products in similar plastic, just thinking about that on someone’s unit gave me a shudder. But like I said, this looks like it doesn’t have the potential to injure. :up:

How do you prevent this from only pulling skin, as opposed to the internal structures?

This looks very interesting. Here’s an idea why not place the knot outside the outershell. There’s no need for it to be fully round within the shell and you can make the slits through which the end of tubes go close together. You can also do that at both sides.

I also have a modified version of the captains wench in the works. My idea is to sew the tube in using a a wrist band wrap on the inside. My only problem is I don’t have a sewing machine.

I remember when this thread was first started and should have spoke up then, but how well did this end up working Big Shooter?

I agree, very inventive and useful for sure, but why go through the trouble when Home Depot sells the Cable Clamp for $1.38 (I just got one two days ago)… The cable clamp (they call it the “Cable Cuff”). Anyway it is anatomically very close to the shape of the penis as well (sort of triangular)…

Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea and I love the creativeness, I’m just not sure it’s a better (cheaper) moustrap.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t those only used for clamping?
