Yes it was all an April fool of course. There is a serious point to it though. I made it faintly ridiculous but I invoked the power of medical science (authority) and peers (the “whiter wash” technique). This is the way junk is sold to people all the time: especially things like penis enlargement pills, pay sites, and many devices.

So if you got through the whole first post and wanted to hear more, you need to adjust your filters. If you ignored all the people posting afterwards and just took in what I was saying about not knowing what date it was etc. I’m currently offering time-shares for the White House and I have two plumb months (August and September) still to sell; you have the run of the place while you are there so you can live your dream and stay in the oval office the whole time if you want.

If you see a guy posting here and he’s made massive gains in super quick time, way above average, you need to be sceptical, not asking him for his routine and committing to it. If he’s taking supplement X or using something that costs $200 you need to be really sceptical, even if he’s a long time member.

Hell, I put up a thread while back that purloined and parodied a style that’s been used even here to sell to people. I only put it up because people were ignoring my threads explaining that the server was going down for maintenance or whatever. If I had put it up as a plain “Here’s my routine” style post it would be long dead by now, rather than still putting me in the extremely uncomfortable position of either ignoring posts or being perceived as some kind of guru (I’m just a guy, you know). Maybe what you should be doing, rather than looking at the threads put up by people who can write in an stirring style, is searching out the people who have been quietly gaining with enough of a public minded ethos to put up their routine and add their stats to the database.
