% of men who PE; an estimate

Alright class, let’s crunch some numbers.

First of all, this is a mediocre mind trying to do something beyond its capability. I’m leaving out tons of variables, but hopefully you’ll get the idea.

Thunder’s Place has a little over 8000 members. Very rarely have I noticed more guests on the board than members, but let’s just say that, at our current time, 8000 other non-members know about Thunder’s and are content to merely sit on the sidelines (join up if you’re one of them.)

That’s 16,000 regulars at Thunder’s, probably an overestimate. But how many people are engaged in PE outside of Thunder’s? This forum is certainly the leader in PE, but we’ve got those paysites, pumps and pills being advertised in magazines, etc. I’ll throw a number out, and a generous one at that. How about 1,600,000, or 100 times as many people that we have here at Thunder’s. Sounds pretty large, check it out…

Let’s narrow our potential PE’rs to males between the ages of 15-64. There are just under 2 billion of them in this world.

1,600,000+16,000=1,616,000,000=N

N/(2 billion) = .0008 or .08 percent or just less than 1 in a thousand.

Excluding those tribes in Africa, I would guess that any real exposure to PE comes from the mass media, especially the internet and magazines. As DW pointed out a while back, only 1% of the entire population even owns a computer.

Let’s say, for the sake of simplicity, that 1% of all men between 15-64 own computers and that all of these computers are wired to the internet. That’s 20 million men with access to PE via the computer.

That means that our number N is probably an overestimate, because you know and I know that there’s no way 8 out of 10 men with computers are using them to research and practice PE, and, in case you’ve caught a flaw in my logic, let’s also assume that, if you have access to a PE being advertised in magazines, you also have access to PE on the internet.

Gents, (and ladies,) we have a very generous .08% of the global population. Even if we apply this number to the United States alone, and assume that all PE’rs reside in the U.S., which has about 97 million men between 15-64, we get about 16.5% of all American men, less that 1 in 6 men.

But the U.S. population is only 4% of the world’s!

.08%. In other words, 1 in 1250

This all derived from my guess that 1 million six-hundred-thousand men are engaged in PE of some sort. What do you think, too large or too small?

Did you also take into consideration the number of men who try the pills and creams, or are you just looking at the ones that actually do the exercises for increasing penile lenght and grith?

Those who exercise, for two reasons.

1. It was easier.

2. I seriously doubt that pills and creams, without some form of exercise, do anything at all. (If they do, reply right now and tell me which ones, damnit!)

WHO CARES?? I PE, that’s all I’m concerned with.

Hmmm… I like the reasoning but there is quite a bit of speculation. I think a random sample would be a far more predictable indicator, at least by region. Now who’s gonna do it?

I can just imagine someone going to muscle beach insistantly asking the men if they pull on their penesis. Either you’ll get a lot of dates or black eyes.. There really is no middle ground..

This is impossible to estimate. I’ve known thousands of men during my 38 years on this planet - and only one ever confided to me that he PE’d. That doesn’t mean it’s only been one of the men I’ve known, of course, but I haven’t heard about any others.

And let me offer you 1 more angle. You’ve used an estimate of the total numbers of guys who visit these forums, then tried to figure out what % of the general male population that PE’s they would represent, then attempting to scale it to worldwide proportions. But I take another view….

Consider how obscure PE really is (I honestly never heard about it until I was 37 years old). And we’ve discussed the significance of the Internet in propagating this - after all, that’s probably how most men have come to hear about natural PE. I truly believe that most men who PE and have Internet access come to these boards already. After all, how else would they have heard about jelqing, stretches, LOT, Ulis, Blasters, A-Stretches, etc.???

While it’s true that penis pumps have been around for about 30 years, and weight-hanging even longer, I believe that the “Neo-PE’ers” (guys who do these manual workouts) are quite a small group (no pun intended, of course).

I would be willing to bet that less than a million men worldwide (of the estimated 3+ billion men on earth) actually do what we do on a regular basis.

This is interesting, despite the fact that it’s nigh on impossible to estimate. I think there’s a slight problem, though, that deserves some consideration. Surely, the local average matters more to us, than the average in Africa, for example.

Now given that the computer ownership percentage you’ve offered is worldwide, it discounts the local computer ownership for each of us. Assuming most of us are in the West - apologies to those who aren’t - the computer ownership rate will be much higher, and thus the internet access rate, and thus the number of men who can gain knowledge about PE.

So, your obscuring the results that matter by looking at in a worldwide perspective. I care about my average with respect to my potential competitors. And so the several billions of men who aren’t in the West and don’t have computers/NET access oughtn’t really to figure in to the calculation because it really doesn’t matter - in size terms - whether people who I will never be competing with can’t PE. We’re only really concerned whether the chap down the road can PE. And the possibility that the chap down the road PE’s in the West, is far more likely than suggested by your estimation.

1 in 1250 ?

Nahh nowhere near that many people PE, i would think its a lot fewer than that.You have to remember that most people may try it for a while out of curiosity , make no gain and then never do it again.PE takes time, you wont get easy results like the ads say. Most people dont have the time privacy, patience and drive.Doesnt bother me thoe, the less people that PE the better.Thunders is where the real PEers are at.
