Question for luvdadus or another MD
It is my understanding that the tunica which wraps around the spongy tissues of the penis is very tough and unelastic. This thoughness is what limits the expansion of the penis in the erect state (and allows for a hard erection). It seems to me that for enlargement to be possible, at least with girth, that the tunica would have to stretch and expand. My question is, how is it possible to expand the tunica? I recently read an earlier post from a urologist that said if sufficient force were applied to stretch the tunica, it would damage the penis. What are your thoughts on this?
thanks,
