Recovery from short-term overtraining

Recovery from short-term overtraining

I imagine there might be a difference between long-accumulated overtraining, like if you were doing a routine that was a little too much for a long time and just didnt gain and started to get negative PIs over time. I also imagine there might be a somewhat different kind of overtraining where you were doing everything just right except then, for example, missed a few days and tried to come back with a couple days of extra hard work to make up for the lost days (beginner’s mistake perhaps).

Anyway, I think I have just done this. I was going great for a month or so with newbie routine but then missed few days and came back with a little too much enthusiasm. Thus, my dick feels a little sore and I haven’t had morning wood in 3 days whereas during previous month of PE I was getting best wood of life probably. I really think I induced overtraining in only two days.

What’s the best way to come back from this? I feel a month long decon or anything like that would be total overkill, but don’t know what would be enough.

Why don’t you gauge how much rest needed by the strength of your morning erections. Take a break, or do very light routines for a few days, and see how you penis responds. I don’t think you need to take much of a break. First try some light routines, check your erections. If your erections are not coming back take an additional day of rest. Keep checking your erections.

Yup, your penis speaks to you. Listen to it. Once you regain your normal erections, start back into your routine with the “required” amount of enthusiasm.

Gut Scramblin' goodness.

May I say that loose your erect strength and/or frequency of night/morning wood is a sign of over training?

No, because you will only get night wood if you wake up from REM sleep. There are several cycles of REM sleep in the night, so it isn’t unlikely that you wake up when you aren’t in REM sleep.

So if one has lost erect strength, what does it mean? Overtraining? And what’s the sign of overtraining besides injuries?

Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth! except the morning wood related indicators.
