I had to wait for the Sept. 1st opening to join, though I had been reading-only for a few weeks. IMO, it is a really good way to prevent the sort of redundant newb questions that you get from new members who’ve only read a handful of threads. A quiz to prevent the immediate induciton of newbs who’ve not read up enough would be best, but this sorta does that.

Jesus, over 100,000 membrs! I can’t believe how big and successful this site has gotten over the years since I first joined. Kudos to you Thunder, I think you have really touched a lot of lives, and for the better. It really is an honor to be a part of it. Keep it up!

And yes, registration is closed/locked/non-functional for at least a couple of months, maybe until the first of next year.
