Hi CK,
both Bird and Klayton have many valid points to consider.
My two-cents worth is to:-
a) refine your jelqing - go back to basics and make sure your technique is spot-on (3 second jelqs are a must) and that you are doing the right number of reps with the overall aim of neither under or over-training.
b) skin drag seems to come with the (jelqing) territory - I have found my cut-guy’s skin has loosened up in the 8 months of me PE’ing. It might be time to consider what the uncut guys mostly do; dry-jelqs. I actually do a form of single handed dry-jelqs but because I am a loose skinned cut (as opposed to a plenty-of-skin uncut) I use some lube to keep things moving nicely. Throw in some Ulis and maybe some erect bends and for no monetary outlay you should begin to slowly gain
c) I share Bird’s philosophy of take the gains wherever they come from. I’ve been stuck just on 7” from a few months but because my girth has been steadily growing I don’t care. Girth (as most around here agree) is not only a great visual turn-on it also keeps the ladies (and I guess men if you were from that persuasion) groaning for more
d) If you’re going to spend money on equipment have a good look at all the options. There are now many to choose from. Personally I did not go down the hanging path because it doesn’t fit my lifestyle - I just don’t have the hours required to hang. I have been a (Monty) air-clamp and am just now combining it with a newly acquired pump and doing a jelq -pump - clamp routine but with only 3 minute bursts of pumping (see Dangleman’s thread pump’n clamp). I’m also due to take delivery of a monkeybar ADS that hopefully will help to cement a decent flaccid hang.
I guess what I am trying to say is to carefully think about what PE you are going to ‘enjoy’ doing and what things that are going to fit your lifestyle. I honestly think you have to love doing it. As soon as it becomes a chore you’re unlikely to gain ever. But providing you can enjoy your PE and are prepared to be persistent and consistent the gains will surely come.
