Second quarter donations

Gave my first donation today and I wanted to thank thunder for everything.

Thunder can I ask you where do these donations go? I understand you have to pay rent for the site on the server, but is there other financial obligations you have to cover for this site? Honestly I wouldn’t care if it went in your pocket. I’m so thankful for the information I’ve discovered on this website I would be fine with just contributing to you.

Server lease and domain registrations (there are a few). We used to pay for software updates too, but no longer do that.

I wasn’t knocking anything thunder has done or does. I would be more than willing to donate to thunder even if he told me he was pocketing the money. Everything I’ve gained from this site is well worth it. Please don’t think I was questioning thunders ethics or morals. I actually donated before I asked that question.

And as a subscriber does the website send you a reminder monthly to donate or just take the money out of your account monthly so you don’t have to remind yourself to donate?

It wasn’t meant as a criticism jb. More of a gentle encouragement for others to donate (I just sieze every opportunity) :)

With a subscription it is done automatically until you cancel. Either monthly, quarterly or whatever suits you. I do it quarterly as there is only one admin charge by Paypal every 3 months insead of a monthly charge (I think that’s right).

Thunder’s pockets haven’t had to help with donations for quite awhile. Good thing too, because Thunder’s pockets have been pretty empty lately. Well, except for lint and that doesn’t get much as far as server time goes. So any and all donations appreciated. :)

I think my next automatic ‘Subscription’ comes of age on 1st June so hope that is processed OK as it’s the first ‘auto’ one of the series.
