They will work. You’ll end up with a slightly thinner sleeve. Thicker sleeve is more durable, thinner easier to roll on and off. PVC is so cheap, check for the low pressure stuff next time you’re at Home Depot. They must have it and usually next to the regular stuff.

The bolt doesn’t have to fit very tight. It is used mostly to keep the inner part of the mold centered, creating a uniform thickness sleeve. After you make a sleeve or two, a bit of silicone will work its way in there anyway. :)
