I did it, too. It was automatic. It felt comfortable, more comfortable than other ways of sitting - still does - although in fact this posture is not at all good for leg and foot circulation.
The only thing you can do is torture yourself and be uncomfortable for a long, long time. Maybe always. Everytime you sit, force yourself to butch-it-up and spread your legs, feet firmly (always) on the floor. You will hate this.
Pretend, no matter whom you are sitting with, that you are an Oakland Raider who coincidentally has been doing very successful PE.
You’ve got big balls now. A very big dick. You can’t easily cross your legs without cramping your meat. Also, it is your “unintentional” purpose to expose your meat through your pants by keeping your legs spread at all times.
I know some of you, including esac, will think I am being facetious here. I am not.
Hint: While you master this technique you will have an almost overwhelming urge to lock your hands behind your head. Do not do this because in body language that indicates a state of self-insecurity or doubt. Instead, lean slightly forward, elbows on knees, looking the person you are addressing directly into one of their eyes, preferably moving from one eye to the other.
With practice, you will get it. But you will not feel totally comfortable all the time.
