Speaking to Big Gainer soon
This coming weeking (March 18 & 19) is the final qualifying round for states, in wrestling, and I’ll be running into that guy I went to high school with who made big gains from PE. I didn’t see him all year because of the schedule - his kid wrestles from a different area and they just weren’t scheduled to face us this season. I saw the latest brackets and his kid made it to that final qualifying round, so he’ll definitely be there.
And so will I - with pocket notebook & pen in hand.
I have a lot of questions to ask him, some of which deal with recent theories of mine and others here (which just weren’t covered on that beer-stained napkin he scribbled on in a tavern one night). In particular, I want to know:
(1) Speed of his jelqing (this could dramatically affect gains)
(2) Grip strength of his jelqs (I’ve wondered if this may be as significant a factor in determining results, or type of results [i.e., girth, length, etc.], as is the erectile level while jelqing).
(3) Wet or dry (although I remember he mentioned that he uses lube - not sure if his jelqs are exclusively wet or if he interchanges wet & dry).
(4) The force of his stretches
(5) The duration of his stretch “sets”
(6) The frequency of his progression (adding jelqs & stretch time/intensity, etc.)
(7) The amount of his increments when he progresses
(8) Details of his comprehensive supplementation program.
(9) His view on hot wraps & any relevant details
(10) Did he ever employ deconditioning breaks.
Well, that’s all I can think of for now, but I’ll be ready for him this weekend. I’ll put together a thorough routine based upon that interview, and I’ll begin it on Monday, March 21, 2005.
I’ll provide everything he told me about in this thread, probably on Sunday night.
I’m just really started to wonder if he was lucky enough to arbitrarily stumble upon a routine - or type of approach - that worked well for him. For example, I know he said he did it 7 days per week. I also doubt that he used great force (he was never a physically strong guy, but very deliberate & methodical in his movements). I’m wondering if he employed an approach of continuous volume - perhaps augmented by hot wraps - which really coaxed his unit to grow & grow….without trauma involved. Lot of other theories too, but I won’t ramble any further.
