Supermen

*choking back my cynicism*

Becoming.... Godsize

The great thing about PE is that, in theory at least, the floor is the limit. Dedicate the time and effort and you can have as big a willie as you want.

Many other areas have very specific limiting factors. You can acquire vast amounts of knowledge in many topics, but you can’t go from IQ 110 to IQ 160. You can get all big and buff, but you can’t go from 5’6” to 6’2”. In many areas of improvement knowing ones limitations is vital. I keep myself very fit, but could never be a pro-bodybuilder or strongman. I am smart, but do not have the capacity to do chaos math.

But as far as getting a bigger dick goes? I truly believe that the vast majority of us have the capacity to make it so damn big as to be unusable, he he he.

teoman,

I think you’ve hit the nail directly on the head. With growth in general, the law of diminishing returns seems to hold true. When learning, it’s easy to get a good understanding of a subject, but to really master it requires far more work. I play piano and I know that mastery of a particular song takes many more hours than just learning to play it. The same can be said about optimization in programming. If you’ve ever read ‘Zen of Graphics Programming” by Michael Abrash, you’ll know that drawing a line is very easy, but drawing it quickly requires programming mastery: a very intimate understanding of the hardware, operating system and algorithms in general.

To be a superman means to be well balanced. Due to limited time, true perfection in all areas cannot be achieved. One must strive to be simply “better than average in any field, but not the best.”

If you spent all day PE’ing you could have a 16” penis (in theory), but how many things would have to be sacrificed to reach that goal? A superman means more than just having a large penis. For me 8”x6” is enough and I suspect would makes me far larger than average.

Tug you are 100% right I have been fighting this battle for balance for the three plus years of my PE career. Sometimes I’m not winning.

Dino,

Keep fighting the good fight, brother. I wish you luck.

Prickle,

Who’s been reading Nietzche? I’ve heard *of* him (from a Firefly episode…), but am not familiar with any of his works.

Here is a distressing, somewhat ,fact:if you don't do manual labor, time working out at the gym does “increase” your life span—unfortunately , to an amount equal to the time in spent the gym busting your gut.
But the quality of life is better. Well yes in a way. But as you age the miles you can run become fewer, and then you simply try to walk them. Forget bench pressing, just try to lift yourself out of the chair.
You fall to the floor as your being is sucked from you—- but there is no Jimmy Olsen to remove the glowing metal. You are not restored. You die.
Tis better to be a supraman, whatever the hell that is. Perhaps the Apollo in Star Trek.

One way out is the Logan non-run.
Another is to reduce your calories so that you are freezing in the desert, and can't walk cause you have no fat pads on your feet.
Maybe we can cure all illness/disease.But because of accidents, we would still live to about 180.Hiding in the closet sorta defeats the purpose of life doesn't it? And what's the purpose of live? To screw day and night. It's DNA's way of reproducing itself.

I don't want a bigger penis. My DNA does. No compulsive behavior on may part. It's dna's fault.

…yes.

Nietzche

A German philosopher who may have let his syphilis do most of his writing.

Hitler used him in his politics.” Man and Superman ” is one of his works.

Just because Hitler referenced him doesn’t make him wrong. But he could be Machiavellian in his relationship with others, and from the above title, you could see how eugenics could be construed.Read his stuff eons ago. Impressed me enough to remember his name, but unlike Hitchhikers Guide,

his words could be quickly forgotten. Alot like Margaret Meade, Freud, or Darwin— not much left but still considered Titans.

It’s all about the Alpha Male complex. A big penis would [your mind tells you] complete the package, so to speak…

…but I don’t think that being happy in life has anything to do w/ the size of your endowment, how rich you are, or even your general health necessarily.

"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."

-Bertrand Russell

Nietzsche was a curio, a weak man who reviled his domineering sister, who idealized a “Superman” ideal he knew he could never reach.

Superman went to jail after he hatcheted the pawn brokeress & her sister.

There are no Renaissance Men today. Specialization has narrowed people to an incredible precision. I’ve met people with advanced degrees whom I thought were truly idiots. They specialized in such a narrow slice of Reality, and made money as a result, but they knew shit regarding anything else. That is the lament of post-modern man.

“Your mind tells you” this only because Society told you first. Mao said that a gun was an extension of a man’s power. I would say that in today’s society, A penis is an extension of a man’s power.

Little-dicked men are laughed at, snickered at, pitied, etc. Big-dicked men are admired, lusted after, etc. Society tells us this first, before any of us are even aware of where we “rank” in terms of size.

Ever hear a woman tease a man for being “too big”? Ever hear a woman rip an ex to her friends, “Good, I’m glad he’s gone, his dick was too big anyway.”????

No. But they’ll make fun of Mr. Li’l Peepee to their friends - and their friends will all laugh.

Wad,

Your writing of specialization really got me thinking. Time, memory and the abundance of information keep us from becoming perfectly well rounded. I guess a superman is a futile attempt to become a Renaissance man.

I wonder how many things we do that are *not* motivated by society? Can anyone honestly say that their desire to PE isn’t motivated by society?
