Temporary to permanent?

Given that the same routine is performed regularly, how long would you guys say it takes for temporary gains to become permanent ones?

If I am not too much mistaken, it varies with the individual. Those who have had more experience than I could probably give a ballpark though.

It definitely varies with the individual. The first time I started PE I had gained a half an inch in about 4 months. I stopped and lost all but 1/16” of what I had gained. Clearly I did not cement it. What was interesting was the fact that I had gained all of this but only retained that little despite having so much. There have been people here who have only needed to do it about a month or two longer and they managed to keep all their gains, and some like me who obviously need to do it for a long time afterwards to keep those gains.
