the "Bulge" game

Crotch-gazing is very common. Men, both gay and straight, do it. It’s harmless; sort of checking out the competition. Women do it, some trying unsuccessfully to be subtle do it.

Remember a few years ago the commercial for Haines underwear for men? Two very attractive women are sitting in a park having paper bag lunches asking each other of passing men. “Boxers, you think? Or Jockies?”

The message from Haines was clearly: “If you’ve got it, show it. They’re looking.”

I think the looking at the bulge is less about looking for the right age and more about masculinity. Men’s age is not a huge determinant of attractiveness like it is for women because our age is not strongly related to our fertility like it is for women. Without modern medicine and good living conditions women could probably only procreate from 15-28 but men could always “slip one past the goalie” from 14 to RIP.

bigger bulge= more masculine = a better protector, etc.= more attractive in general.

There are theories that gender difference=attractiveness.
eg women have bigger lips than men therefore bigger lips are better on women.
women have smaller feet, therefore the smaller the better.

men have penises where women don’t therefore bigger is better.

This reminded me of me and my wife talking about another couple, he is 6’4” and very large framed, she is 5’4” tops and very petite. We made jokes about her being a “size queen” but the next time we saw him, we both just looked at each other and laughed. We had both checked out his bulge.

The reasons why women evolved to crotch watch are debatable and there are many plausible theories. However, women do look at crotches instinctively and often subconsciously. They certainly do it deliberately, as I have said. I believe however, that women are programmed to look. Just as men automaticly look at a woman’s breasts if they like the look of her, and often even if they don’t. It’s programmed and I often don’t even realise that I have just checked out a woman’s breasts until afterwards. Often I am aware of looking but don’t recall making the decision to look. My eyes just needed to look. The decision wasn’t of my making. I believe that this programming is in women also and often check out crotches without consciously deciding to do so. Many times they will make the decison to look but I believe there is sometimes something more instinctive taking place which causes it to happen.

Today I was hanging nice and low. There is a very cute girl where I work, who happened to take a gander at it. I looked her in the eye and smiled, winked and walked away. I don’t know if that was the best choice but it felt right lol. Now everytime I walk by her I try initiating eye contact and a conversation but she gets nervous haha.

In a few months I hope to reach the big 8 nbp. That would look very sharp in my pants. I hope you guys have as much fun with it as I do.

Lurkmeat- You bring a valid point but I believe GottaGrow is right in there with the “evolution” of women’s desires and wants partly based on “what my best mate physically speaking” sort of logic. Men do it to with women’s breasts, butts, etc. Men have been programmed over time in “evolution” to seek a mate that could raise our children and usually the more voluptuous women won out.

OT: Btw, GottaGrow I have been meaning to ask you how your “homemade” effervescent creatine is working out for you? :)

About the History and Discovery channel. Has there ever been a program on either of them about the fact that women prefer larger penises and the reasons why? I think I read a long time ago that someone had seen such a program on Discovery but I don’t think I read it in Thunder’s. I have made a whole thesis on the how and why it all came about in evolution. It took me years to peice the ideas together and I have it all in my head. I really should write it down and post it at Thunders.

GottaGrow - I don’t know if you read my post a while back or someone’s somewhere else, but I have made references to the Discovery channel on this site before in reference to this subject. I am sure other people have seen the show and that it why it posted elsewhere.
I can’t remember though the actual title of the shows which bugs the hell out of me. :(

However, they do make reference to the fact that females did in historic times( still do as far as I am concerned ) take in to consideration the size of the man’s genitals ( I guess they couldn’t say penis ) in picking the best man to mate with. There was also a correlation to the way men look at women in similar ways to pick a mate.

There is no doubt in my mind that humans are no different in some ways than animals. Sex is a huge drive for us naturally. You can’t fault a woman for looking at a bulge no more than a man looking at breasts. It is just a natural thing.

What isn’t natural is that present day humans have a hard time admitting or even acknowledging a connection with certain physical traits and attractiveness. American’s in particular ( women especially ) will not give up their posture of “well there is more too it than just a big penis or big breast, etc”. True but too many discount the effects of certain body parts on the other sex in our modern day society. Men are always getting nailed for looking at breasts for example but women seem to be more subtle in their gazes. If your looking though,m., you can find plenty of women doing the same thing especially when in groups.

The women here on this board seem to be more forthright in their views. Maybe some of them will chime in here and give us their take on it.

I do enjoy catching the women looking. Usually when I do they know I caught them. :) This game is no different than a woman wearing a shirt that is two sizes too small in a public place.
Seriously, does she think no one will look?? I say touche’.

Nice post GrowingPains. I wonder how I might be able to get a recording of this Discovery channel footage on women and penis size. I remember reading once that somewhere in the footage, there was suggestion that women might have historically been choosing men with bigger penises because it gave them more sexual pleasure. Does this sound like the same program you have seen?
