What kind of hosting package do you have?

What are the issues? Bandwidth usage? VBullitin License?

You should post this issue (of finding a new web host) as a topic, I’m sure the thousands of people who use this forum will be able to find some good deals for hosting.

There is no vB cost, it is all machine and reliable internet access. Sure you can find some fly by night reseller that will promise you the moon for 100.00 a month, but he can’t deliver and you are fucked after going to all the trouble to do the move, only to have to do the move again, and possibly get fucked agan, unless you learned your lesson the first time.

We will be cutting it close I think (vacations, etc.), after doing well the last couple of months.

Today was my first visit here in a few weeks and saw this thread. I have been visiting here for probably six or seven years but just was able to become a member last year.

I didn’t realize it really cost so little to maintain this valuable resource and help was needed. I made a small one time donation and plan to do my part again, probably monthly.

Here’s the thing ThunderSS. I have no problem donating monthly but I HATE having it auto deducted from my account. Because I’m a bartender, I have to deposit cash before I write checks etc. So if I forget to put cash in when automatic withdrawals take place I get hit with huge NSF fees that really irritate me.

Any chance of maybe doing a monthly email reminder to donate to members like myself or others that would rather make the donation on their schedule?

No prob boss. I can’t give any excuses for not subscribing. Just don’t know what the budget will look like month to month. I’ll still continue to donate to make sure this place NEVER becomes a paysite.
