If you have a calendar on your computer like Outlook for example, you can set it to give you a reminder on recurring events.

That thing is like my bible for work, If I didn’t have it, my gain\loss ratio would probably get me fired.

I can honestly say I don’t have a lot of discretionary funds right now, but it seems like $5 a month is well worth a 25% bigger dick! My scheduled quarterly donation has been made! Thanks to Thunder and all the contributers!

With a little more straight forward approach, I think donations would be enough to keep the site going. I guess you have outcomes for rack space, dedicated server, bandwidth etc. right?

I run another well-known site on Internet on a completely different topic which consumes 1.0 - 1.4 TB bandwidth per month and uses up a dedicated server of 2U rack space. I live on donations only so it works! But I get about $5.000 in donations per year and that is probably not the case for you.
I guess bandwidth cannot be the problem as a forum with some videos cannot consume that much of bandwidth.

What I did was a bar which was red unless I had donations enough. In that bar (grew when money came in), it is stated exactly how money I need and how much money I got so far. Then I maintain a table over all members who made donations which encourages some (while some do not wish to appear there at all). This approach boosted my donations income and turned 5 times higher than before. That is not too much of a work is it?

Hi just donated $3 via PayPal with a note made as part of payment of what ID I am on site. Haven’t seen any quarterly donation advice for second quarter of 2009 BUT assume it’s still an ongoing issue.

Rarely come here BUT the advice you and your amazing site has given me has really helped me and my wife.

How about a dollar per millimeter (gained).

Or a cent per Jelq (well exercised).

Or a dollar per session (skipped).

One can come up with a lot of ideas to raise funds by motivating the forum members.

By giving everyone’s efforts (or laziness) a price tag (or penalty, respectively), the value of PE could rise in everyone’s perception.

At the same time, the forum could stay ‘free’ (as in ‘independent’) without any force to become a paying member.
I’m aware this wouldn’t really make everyone pay accurately and honestly, but the amount raised could suffice to support the forum.

People are documenting and broadcasting their progress, so the culture of giving feedback is there. Now if there was a direct connection between progress reports and donations.. ;)
