cslm: You should factor genetics into your fat pad situation. I am very slim, work out six days a week, always do abs ferociously, stand over 6’ 1 ” and weigh 204. For my age(60), I am very muscled but my fat pad is the same as yours. With all the improvements in my health, my fat pad has not budged a smidgeon. I attribute that to poor genetics. I would hope that your situation is not genetically related.

There is a new book out from Men Health: The Abs Diet. Maybe it can help both of us but I really watch what I eat and drink and exercise like crazy and still cant lose the fat pad.

Could always have it removed surgically if you have the cash.

Mother Nature can be really irritating sometimes; in fact, regarding body-fat, the rule is L.I.F.O. - where you added fat for first, there you lost fat for last.

So, even if you don’t have an high % of fat, you may have a thick fat-pad; this one of reasons people give up diets.
You have to stay: if your caloric balance is good, fat pad will go way.

Oh well, even if your fat pad stays a little thick at least the rest of you is really slim. I remember my fat pad used to be thinner when I was thinner to but I dont remember how much. I just noticed that my dick got shorter when I gained a lot of weight. It would be nice to liposuck all of it out and have nearly no fat pad.

Ab workouts are just one component of the fat pad scenario. You must do cardio as well, brisk walking is great.
I commend you on your level of fitness. I don’t know it seems like the 60 year olds and older are in better health than the 40 and 50 year olds.
I very seldom see fat 60 year olds or older at the gym. The obese group seems to be 30’s 40’s and 50’s.

Thanks for the humorous observation Kingpole. Maybe we older guys know that at our age, its necessary item for longevity. You are correct man. The cardio is important and that’s why I jog Tue, Thur, Sat, and weight train on MWF. Its the old Bill Phillips Body for Life concept.

Still I would like to lose the fat pad and the small ridge of abdominal fat that doesnt seem to budge. A plastic surgeon friend has offered lipo selection. It is a new procedure done in the office on Friday and you are back at work on Monday. Google lipo selection if you are interested. There is a website. Just havent decided if I am that vain even at my age.

Lets hear it from other guys who have had success conquering a disproportionate fat pad.

The Vitamins I’m taking now have Green Tea in them among other things. I’ll definitely pick up some Green Tea though next time I go to the grocery store.

Hey, thinktank, I’m giving Body For Life a go as we speak. I like this diet, I’m never hungry, and I can eat tasty foods. Not to mention the cheat day comes in handy, even though I limit my calorie intake and stay away from foods full of sugar.

Try reverse crunches for the small ridge. Mine has been shrinking, It could be the green tea and all the other shit I take.

I think it is not easy at all to get rid of pubic fat. It is easy to get pubic fat with weight gain, but not easy to loose it with weight loss.

I think exercise helps but will not satisfy you guys.

I have about 1.5 inch fat pad.

Recently I found a new precedure called mesotherapy which is basically injecting a medicine to the fat pad. They claim that it is safe and effective.

Does any body has any experience with this methode?

I just read an article today about the penis in general, and according to that article, each 10 kilos (22 pounds) of overweight reduces penis length with 1 centimeter (0.39”). I have about 20 kilos of overweight, so I would ‘gain’ about 2 centimeter of length. This could be true, because I know that when I had a normal weight (like 2 years ago), my penis was longer, I pretty much had no fat pad at all. That would mean that I won’t actually ‘gain’ extra length, it would just mean that my BPEL is about the same as my NBPEL.
