I’m sure variations of this has been done but tell me what you think.

I didn’t want to get my lazy ass up off my recliner so I attached the hanger and used a belt to provide tension.

I used a leather belt without notches. You know, the ones that are woven. I fished the end through the buckle and formed a loop. The loop went around my foot and the bib-hook though the belt.

I found it easy to control the stress with my foot and even found myself doing sets.

Do you guys think this could be effective? Anyone already doing something similar?

I can remember someone doing something similar but with bunge rope tied to hanger one end and a 3ft stick on the other,legs pushing on stick.All sounds good to me!!

One of the great advantages of hanging is knowing exactly the weight/stress you are placing on your unit - ie: a 10 pound weight is exactly that. With your foot, bungees, springs, etc you are using an unknown and likely highly variable force.

Adequate tension and time applied to the proper angles are all that is required. It doesn’t matter what produces this tension, as long as it is adequate for the task at hand.

Do you think tension, release, tension, release is any more or less benifical than constant tension? Kinda like doing repetitions with the ol’ mule.

I don’t know. This is how I do it, as I’m a manual stretcher. I’ll defer to bib on this…

I am now working on some exercise with the Bib independent of weights, almost like a stretching assistant to manual exercise. I will hopefully have some information to add to this.

I’ve been meaning to try this for some time with the Capt’ns Wench. Seems like this is ideal when you just want to kick back in the recliner. Modify the wench so it has a long strap, get comfortable, put your foot through the strap and streeeeeeeetch.
