So glad to hear of your recent success. I’ve had similar success over the last several weeks as well although I’m waiting to see if my BPFSL gain translates into a true gain with other measurements as it usually does.
Yeah, at the depth some guys get into, I.P.R. can be overwhelming which is related to the human body being complicated beyond the comprehension of most mere mortals.
If it helps, in distilled form, I.P.R. (for me) works out to hitting P.E. twice a week for 4 weeks and increasing intensity every session by a multiple of 1.15. For example, did 8 minutes jelqing the first day and for the second session later that week, 8 x 1.15 = 9.2, so I rounded to 9 minutes. I use same multiplier with stretches and by the end of this four week cycle almost couldn’t complete the peak of this cycle (as in hands would just give out).
The above just gives me a guideline that (hopefully) keeps inflammation occurring to provoke growth rather than us getting conditioned to levels of exercises when we keep them constant (and after the first phase comes 3-4 weeks of only wearing an ADS (no P.E. followed by 8-10 weeks of nothing at all but rest). Of course, keeping exercise levels the same amount works really well right up to the point of hitting a plateau!
