Warn down vs. Cool down

Warn down vs. Cool down

Hear alot about warm downs, but after reading some of girtha’s old posts and thinking from a physiological standpoint, it would make more sense to do a cool down in the extended state. Tried it, like it, no negitive PI’s. It makes sense, inflammation leads to disfunction by definition from a tissue standpoint. A cooldown would decrease tissue inflammation. So simple its scary. Opinions?

Needed to add, I wrap a flexible cold pac in a paper towel around it for 10 minutes while its in an ADS with a pretty high tension.

I have never tried the cool down, but I am going to try it tonight and see myself. It definitely does make sense though.

I am not saying this with ANY confidence, so sorry in advance if I have put my foot in my mouth. Does not warmth promote blood flow in the area, which could perhaps help promote healing? Also, when your penis is cold, it tends to get smaller, while if it is warmer it tends to hang more full. I would like to hear others thoughts on the warm down or cool down, as I am currently doing the warm down in my routine.

I think people get a little carried away with this blood flow thing, blood is going to flow in there no matter what, if it didnt it would fall off. Pitchers ice their shoulders after they pitch, basketball players ice their knees, no one is dumb enough to heat an irritated and inflammed issue, no wonder their is so much ED reported on this forum. Keep in mind I said cooldown in the extended state. No turtleing.

While a cool down does sound theoretically correct, and correct me if I’m wrong on this, the penis is a soft muscle and doesn’t react the same as a typical muscle; not to mention that your shoulder and knees are joints which consist of cartilidge too i believe, and if you got joints in your penis, bud you got bigger problems. I’m pretty sure after PE your penis doesn’t swell up as much, or at all, as a damaged shoulder from a pitcher. (I know those are just examples, but I’m gonna pick on them ne ways). Your shoulder isn’t meant to swell up with extra blood, but your penis is, in fact that’s how an erection works. Not to mention that if you’re getting bigger down there you’re gonna need more blood to flow there in order to fill up a bigger erection anyways. While cooling it down may feel like it’s better, it does draw blood away, maybe in a stretched state it would work, but if not then I can’t see it being any different, or better, than a warm down. Heat tends to loosen up bodily tissues, where as cold tightens it. Mind you though, on that note it may be good for counter acting base skin stretching and turtle-necking, but that’s just speculation like the rest of this lol. Also, you say people talk about the blood flow thing too much, and yes blood will flow there regardless, but the lower it hangs (ie the bigger it is) the more blood will be circulating, and the more nutrients, blood cells, etc, will be carried there. Since it’s the only thing relaly circulating all over your body, there’s no other way, and it only makes sense that more blood flow would help.

I have no proof of any of this, it just makes sense to me.

Perhaps I havent explained myself correctly. I’m talking about using a freezer pac around the penis immediately after a workout while in the extended position using an ADS for 10 minutes. Then the freezer pac is gone and the ADS is worn for the rest of the day. The purpose is too decrease the excessive inflammatory response that occurs following the trauma of the workout. It is the inflammatory response that leads to varying degrees of ED (depending on the individual) following heavy workouts. Hence the need for rest days and time off to allow the inflammation at the cell level to subside. I’ve been doing this for a week now and find it “amazing” I can be far more aggressive with the workout and experience no negitive PI’s what so ever. Before I started with the freezer pac I would experience negitive PI’s quite often.
