What is the best amount of jelqing to do?

I noticed that the newbie routines of TP and DLD’s pay site are very similar. Both are essentially: Warmup, stretch, Jelq, Stretch, Warmdown, Kegel. The difference is in the amount of Jelqing each routine does.

TP’s routine has 200 per workout. DLD’s routine has 300 for the first 2 weeks and then 600 thereafter.

I’m sure both produce gains, but I wonder which is a better range (for mose people). Has anyone experimnt with different rep ranges? If so what do you think works the best?

Personally I think of jelqing in terms of time spent,not reps.Start out with 5-10 min. and slowly build it up to more.

And jelq slowly (3-5 sec. each rep.)

Having a number like that you run into the risk of just going through the motions, make every second count and concentrate on perfecting your teqnique into what you feel works. A time is better to have like 10-20 minutes or a little less if you are just starting out. A good time to quit is when you start getting a bit of fluid buildup.

I agree that quality is important. When I tried that 600 jelq routine I was going way too fast just to get it over with (my other mistake was doing it right before getting ready for bed. Now I do my routine only at times when I’m not rushed)

However as far as going for a certain amount of of time instead of reps, I don’t know if I agree with that. When I workout, I pay very close attention to how many reps I do. Form is important to be sure, but the number or reps is also very important. PE is not the same as working out, but I would bet there is a “target” range that provides for the best growth without overworking the penis. If we could compile a list of people doing routines at different rep schemes (100 jelqs, 200, 300, 400 etc) then a pattern would probably emerge somewhere.

I say for reps is boring, to be goin 1-2-3…498-499-500 is extremly boring IMO. Just do it for a set time. Focus on your technique, pressure etc. do as many as possible, simple as that.

I only counted reps in the beginning, and I wound up jelqing too fast and not making good gains.

I haven’t counted reps since Jan 07, I go by time now. After warmup / stretching, I do about 30 minutes — about 15 of which is “quality” jelqs, with ulis, squeezes, and kegels mixed in.

I’d pick the method that works for you best both mentally (you look forward to and enjoy PE) and physically (you’re making steady gains month to month and seeing other positive PIs). Until there are PE coaches, you will have to customize the “details” of PE yourself, as you gain experience.


God gave me: 4.75" BPEL / 5" EG

Currently: 6" BPEL / 5.25" EG

Goal: 7" BPEL / 5.75" EG

I agree on the time approach. I tried to count a couple of times, but then I’m really not focusing on what I am doing, so now I just watch the time. A good session for me is about 20 minutes, with at least half of them at really high intensity. And as always, watch your PIs.
