Try using a wooden dowel instead of a ruler. Sand one end of it down and it should cut down on the discomfort.

Well, here´s the good news: I got contact with that darned bone. I re-read the first link you posted and examined the area on the sides, parallel to my penis´s exit point and voila! I easily felt the bone there. It´s a quite different feeling from the area above the root, where it feels more spongy, sort of. The sides are just skin and bone basically, more like the wrists.
Well, now I got two good ways of measuring. Thanks a bunch for taking the time and helping me out.

:-) Ironic, isn´t it ? My homemade frankenstein-hanger felt better then pushing a ruler into my body. Fortuneatly enough I got it figured out now. Thanks everyone for helping me.

Can pumping be used for measuring? I don’t have a pump - but am thinking about getting one so I can uniformly measure erect length - setting the same level av vacuum for the same time and reading it of the glass. But as there must be many with the equipment already I ask: is that a good way?

No. Some guys find their pumped length is less than their BPEL.
By the way, this thread is 3 years old…..

I put a mark on my pump the first time I used, just to see if I would ever go past it. I think some guys have attached measuring tapes (cloth or paper, to their tubes). Sort of like when you mark your height on the closet door as a kid.

I can see how measuring bone pressed can give you consistent results, I always thought I was over six but due to bad measuring thought I was 6” exactly.. Big confidence booster to sort it out I’m more like 6” 3/4 length. It’s good to get it over with and measure properly you may be happily surprised.
