Dunno, I never met a woman while banging in hardwood floors or building decks or drywalling. That another thing, all but the rarest of women cannot lift a sheet of 4x8 drywall and carry it up a flight of stairs.

Men are horrible at judging dick size. I’ve been told recently by several guys that I’m anywhere from 7.5 to over 8 inches. I’m 7, but advertise 6.5. In some cases I could be embarrassment that my 6.5 is bigger than their 7.5, but overall men consistently see a big dick as much bigger than it is.

So being able to more easily lift heavy shit gives a body more skill at guessing the size of something? I ain’t buying that. I knew of a couple of women that were in contruction when I was. One was a petite, trim carpenter and the other a pro wrestler sized plumber. I’d inagine that both of them were as good as you or I at estimating.

No, the ability to lift heavy shit seems to come in the same package as the ability to estimate size, distance and volume most of the time.

There are some sex role stereotypes that are valid enough to be reliable, this being one of them. There are always going to be exceptions to these rules as you pointed out.

And your carpenter and plumber would have been as good as You or I at estimates or they wouldn’t have lasted in the trades.

Any explanation of supposed sexual differences in intelligence based on biologic or evolutionary arguments is plain bullshit to me.

As much as Darwin’s macro-evolutionary position leaves much to be desired, his work on adaptation of species to environment is well proven and easy to observe.

A species will adapt to environmental stresses physiologically immediately and physiological changes will manifest in the next generation.

Ray Kurzweil has some interesting theories about how we adapt intellectually and what computational systems mean for our species.

Sex and it’s attendant media have seen a revolution culturally recently, but as seemingly pervasive as sex is, it consumes a very small part of our daily activity.

Industry, I.e. Physical survival takes up vastly more of our time and effort, which is what Darwin was on about. The element of a species that survives is the one that focuses on those things most likely to allow him to survive.

Whether this is an a priori biological state, or whether, due to sex role division in hunter-gatherer societies or some other cause, the fact remains that there are differences in the sexes that set role specific suitability.

I coached college level women’s soccer and they learn well, and understand the game and are exceptional athletes, but when it comes to fine motor adaptation under pressure and spatial understanding in 3 dimensions, they perform like 14 year old boys of similar training and fitness. This would manifest it’s self in poorly timed tackles, late reaction to other players moves and passing, and an inability to control the ball at pace which is a critical skill in this sport.

This isn’t an indictment of women or of women in sport, merely a limitation of their specific potential in sport.

Sorry but there is, not knocking your, a professional gymnast/ice skater/what not would kick my butt or an average Joe butt, but a professional male athlete will outperform a female athlete any day of the week, given the same training regime.

It was nice to revisit this great old thread. It still stands true what I said years ago about the fact until a girl knows you have a big dick it’s of very little use to getting her into the sack for the first time.
