I hear ya now. Yes, the cap with the hose fitting is a separate piece that is glued on. You use an acrylic solvent, to weld the pieces together. Kinda cool, you use an eye dropper or a syringe to apply the solvent. It seal’s up nice and tight. Hey, I wish you sucess in your fabrication endeavor. adi’os
