On the one hand, I think it’s worth spending the time as a newbie (if that describes you) getting used to the sensations that various PE techniques impart, and learning to distinguish healthy discomfort from kinds of discomfort that are potentially causing dangerous hypoxia or numbness. It takes time to develop this sense and to trust that you should absolutely never be putting your penis into these states.
On the other hand, I would personally never encourage anyone to discount the bodily sensations, these are the only real and reliable sensory data that we all automatically have to determine if we’re in the realm of doing nerve damage, which obviously, you do not want to do.
If you haven’t been doing any newbie routine or low intensity exercises for at least a few months, I would strongly advise you do so, not only to get acquainted with your penis in this way, but also because the best results tend to come from that initial period of patient low intensity.
