Jes extender - silicone tube - important

Jes extender - silicone tube - important

Hi,

Just bought a new tube since the old one snapped.
I can see that the “traction” of the new tube is much much better than the old one, probably because the extended usage has “smoothed” the surface of the tube.
This makes it slip more and I think that the last many sessions has probably been sub optimal, since the tube has slipped and thus not optimal traction.

So I just want to tell people that they should evaluate the silicon tube on a monthly basis (or so) if the silicon tube is getting to “smooth” and should be replaced, at least I will do that from now.

You can find a cheaper more reliable replacement on McMaster and carr. I’m using it, and others here have in the past. It’s red silicone cord.

Sept 2020 BPEL 16.5-17.5 cm, BPFLS 17.5-18 cm. Clamped x4+ BPEL 18-19 cm. Head girth 12.5 cm, MSG 16 cm, BG 16.5 to 18 cm

Goal is 21 cm BPEL, 20 cm EL, 15 cm head girth.

I use that stuff on my X4. It works pretty well, but I have broken it a few times. Fortunately, McMaster sells it by the foot, so I’ve gotten a couple years out of my initial purchase.
