Official gram amounts for tension lines on X4 Labs Extender?

Anyone know the tension amounts for the 3 lines on the original X4 labs extender (from like 12 years ago)? I don’t have the manual and can’t find anything online.

Would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Get a cheep gram scale that has capacity up to ~10lbs/~4500grams. Then you can verify which spring set you have. I predominately used the 4200 gram set. See below tension index key. The spring loading is linear, so once you know one line, you know all:-)

Tension Key: (4200 gram springs)
100% = 9.26 lbs
82% = 7.59 lbs
66% = 6.00 lbs
50% = 4.63 lbs
33% = 3.00 lbs


Once upon a time (2015): 6.40” x 4.50”

I used my kitchen gram scale. Looks like 1st line is roughly 1200g, 2nd line is 2200g and 3rd line is 3200g, tested 5 times to get the numbers. So just doing the first line (1200g) of tension is seemingly considered enough for extension in the beginning months of PE? I don’t want to cause injury going higher, but also very much don’t want to waste my time wearing this thing for no effect of course if bumping up the tension would have led to lengthening.

Well done.

Yep, start with low tension and acclimate to using the extender. Notice that during your sets the tension will lessen, then adjust to dial back up to that original starting tension. This is relaxing into the stretch:-) . Not forcing in it.

Seems like the exact same traction as the JES extender. No surprise, as most extenders are copies of the JES extender.
If you go to the JES extender website, they have a guide for a startup program on what traction/hours to use per week.
