I think it has limited application as a hanger. For low weights it may be sufficient as stop-gap measure but at heavier weights I doubt it would last the distance in terms of both it’s materials and mechanics. Even if the materials stood up to heavy weights it’s unlikely that it would stay attached. Best to save it from being wrecked by using it as it was intended and perhaps try the homemade ModBib for hanging weights.
