ADS in the cold weather?

A few members here have recently suggested using an ADS. I have an outdoor job and wonder if exposing the tissues of my unit to the cold and then trying to stretch them would be a good idea. Anybody?

I don’t see why it would do any damage but I would also think that the weather may negate any benefits from the ADS. Just like the difference between stretching muscles in cold vs hot climates. It may also be a pain in the ass to get to through all the layers if it started hurting or something. But I don’t have anything scientific to contribute.

If you can get it to be comfortable and truly an ADS and not a 20 minutes then spend 5 adjusting it then another 20 wearing it and another 5 adjusting it then repeat ADS, then I would think that would help. Any kind of extension is probably better than letting it turtle, right?

I like the circle device, or homemade versions thereof. You attach it with a rubber band and if you make it tight you can move around a lot and it won’t fall off. I do need to open it up every now and then to restore circulation, but the mobility and comfortability of it is worth it.

Careful that lymph buildup doesn’t make hanging uncomfortable, if you’re a hanger. Hanging higher weights will always outdo or equal the longer-term stretch of the low weights (ADS) and pull out the folds from your last hanging session.
