Hitting the ligs everyday is nice but impractical for most people. During those days that you can’t hang and that might be several days a week the same gain retention can be had by applying an ADS between. I think this principle is proven over and over especially with those that can get some consistency by 7 day a week hanging, but it doesn’t take that much weight to retain what hanging gains you’ve made. Just enough to keep things stretched out. Kind of goes along with the “Never let it turtle” thing.
I don’t know if I go along with Kojack10’s healing as quickly as that but in some cases that may be true, but the real point it to keep the ligs broken enough to continue healing in the elongated state. If you can hang everyday, consistently, you probably don’t need an ADS.
Kojack10 is right though about ligs returning to their original length during the last phase of the healing cycle. We definitely want to intervene before they get to that stage. Now whether that is 24 or 48 or 100 hours, it doesn’t matter, what needs to be done is to keep things moving so they don’t heal shortened or toughened.
