bib starter tearing

My bib starter’s gel is starting to tear on the front bottom on both sides. Has this happened with anybody elses? Does this matter, it looks like it will continue to tear.

How long have you had it? Is it tearing or ripping or just coming unglued?

I’ve had it for 2 weeks about, its tearing. Maybe I’m wearing it wrong.

Anyway you can get digital pics up of these tears?

Yeah, I’ll have to borrow a digi from a friend so it might take a few days. I’m hanging with it right now so it still works, I’m just worried it’ll continue to tear until it comes off

Could the screws or wingnuts be hitting the gel and cutting it/scraping it?

Make sure gel coating is not sliding on your skin. From what I understand and what is obvious to the eye, the gel coat is somewhat fragile, probably no way to make any tougher and still get the comfort. The gel coat is designed to be held together by the pressure exerted on it while hanging, more so than the glue it is bound with. Bib is always asking for feedback to improve the hanger. I’m sure he will ask for pics when he chimes in. I would like to see them also, I’m sure we all would. Bib designed a good hanger, but it is this forum that has made it great.

Ok I’ll try to take some pics as soon as I can. Sometimes the hanger slides up, hangin OTS, and touches the foreskin that is pulled forward but It barely touches my skin. When that happens I usually reattach the hanger because it irritates my skin.

Once again, BG is correct. It is the pressure that holds the gel on the hard plastic. If you are not tightening the hanger, using sufficient pressure for the amount of weight you wish to hang, the gel will tear. You have been caught.

Now, as far as the gel goes, you will have to send it back to me so I can remold it. If you do not want to send it right now, that is fine. You can wait till it gets worse, or until you need a break, since you just started.

It appears that you should tighten more. Obviously, if the lateral pressure is enough, the gel will not move, and cannot tear.

No, not very often. I have remolded perhaps 15-20 out of 1500. But some of those were simply from normal wear over a couple years.

The same thing is happening to my bib starter - I’ve been using it full on about 4 months or so.

I know that it isn’t a screw as it is right at the front - away from any of the screws, and I know that it isn’t from not tightening it enough (if I tighten it any harder my dick is just going to jump off and run away - also I am fulcrum hanging nearly 20lbs with it - so if it wasn’t REAL tight I’d have torn my glans off)…

I think its just got to be put down to wear and tear, but I might very well send it back for a remold when I’m on my next break…

nb - how much will it be for the remold Bigger?
