Broke my Bib

My bib broke tonight. I didn’t think it could happen and I was lucky that the weight didn’t drop on my foot. It broke along the thin part above the hinge. I have contacted Bigger about getting it fixed. I thought it might be a good idea to warn others here that the hanger can break so be careful when you have weight attached. I was using only 10 lbs. But that is enough to break a foot. Now my hanging carrier is on hold so I guess I’m back to manual stretches till I get it back. This is such a bummer because I was making great gains.

Damn sorry to hear that SNM, so it cracked along the plastic or the metal, I guess plastic, was it where a screw was, and the screw ripped out? Do you adjust for toe? I don’t use the two bottom screws, I also have the starter.

Good to know I do mine sitting down, I need to work on a hanger setup for SO, b/c I get wicked burn SO as opposed to SD with a lot of between 6 and 7 SD is pretty slow for gains.

No shit, the plastic broke? Did it snap off at the bolt with the wing nut on it?

Big T, it broke on the thin part above the screws that attach to the hinge. The screws are still attached to the hinge. I have it toed out only about 1/16”.

Ram, The side that broke is on the non adjusting side at the thinnest part above the hinge. If you look at the plastic right above the hinge you will see the thinnest part and that is where it snapped.

I contacted Bigger and he is going to mail me out a new one and wants me to mail him this one. He said he wants to address this and maybe make some changes to the design. This may be just a bad flaw in the plastic when it was molded. You guys need to be aware that these can break and watch your feet because I was attaching 10 lbs. To mine when it snapped. If the weight had hit my foot it would probably broke something. Luckily I still had my hand on the weight.

Have you made a Wench for a spare?

I don’t have a wench. Talked to Bigger and he is shipping out a new hanger today. I will be back in business by Monday. A short break won’t hurt me too much.

Bigger did say he has tried the ones he has there to see if they would break by clamping them on a screwdriver handle and none broke. This may be just one that was bad when it was formed.

Bigger runs a tight ship and always stands behind his hangers. Dam you must have just hit it in the right spot.

Well if you get board this weekend build a wench it takes 10 minutes my theory before I was stopped with bad bruising was to super set with the bib and than the wench. The wench hits the tunica better and the bib hits the ligs better it would have made for a kick ass hanging workout.

What is your basis for saying the wench hits the tunica better? I’ve seen a few people say this, I was just curious as to what your basis for saying this is???

Got my new hanger in today and I’m back in business. With only 5 days off I feel like I haven’t missed anything.

One thing to consider when buying a hanger is service and Bigger has none better. It may cost a little more but it’s worth it.
