Hey Guy’s, I’m going for just length not girth, I pump but I’m just now starting to hang, I was wondering, if the only position I hang in is BTC would this be a good or bad thing for primarily length gains ?

Hey N2H!

BTC is excellent for length gains however you might like to start by hanging straight out first. Gradually work up to BTC because it is a very intense stretch. Start off in a seated position in the chair, then elevate your feet onto another chair and gradually scoop down in the chair until your butt is on the edge of the seat - be careful!

It may take you a while (perhaps weeks) to work up to this and invariably you probably won’t be able to hang as much weight as you can in other positions. When hanging BTC, I’ve always found it easiest to start in the seated position, then after a few minutes scoop down a little at a time. Take it progressively rather than going into it cold.

Sorry ‘cause my english is very bad ! I can’t understand correctly the BTC position : could you explain me that with more detail please ?

OK, you start in the seated position with the weights hanging over the edge of the chair. You then put your feet onto another chair. Now, gradually slide down so that your butt is on the edge of the chair. That’s BTC!
