Well, I have made a perfetc capnt wench, and can’t get it from sliding off!

I don;t have any clamps to help keep it on, so I hope that will make a difference, I have tried wrapping with just a strip of an old shirt, and it seems ok if I would just have that clamp, any other ideas on a good wrap for this hanger?

How much weight can you hang with your captain wench without clamping?

With the captain wench that bought from Monty, I was able to hang 3kg comfortably without any clamp.

I can’t even stretch with it, I guess I need the clamp, I’m getting some scunci’s from monty.

I am going to get a hose clamp for now, maybe it will work until I get the cable clamps? It will just be more time consuming.

Dude, cable clamps aren’t aren’t exactly rare. I’m from nowhere and can get them easy.

Hose clamps didn’t work, but it was better, I might just need to tighten them more, or wrap better.

Oh and they don’t have them where I live, but they have a wal-mart, target, a few of them, and ace hardware, and home depot, but not cable clamps or cuffs.

The Wench is useless as a primary hanger without a clamp. My favorite is the Turn-Key Clamp, which is available at my local Home Depot.

Check it for burrs before using it, and plan to replace it every couple of months. By the way, I greatly prefer the Wenchette to the standard Wench. You might want to give it a try.
