Hey y’all, I’m back from an extended break and hanging again and I wanted some input on an idea. When I hang it is often hard for me to keep the hanger back away from my glans. I’ve even tried attaching over 1.5” behind the coronal ridge, but still I find it hard to create “shoulders” for my bib to sit on so it doesn’t ride up onto the glans. I’ve switched to a toed-out /\ configuration with the bottom bolts all the way open, and this helps a bit. I get the hanger nice and tight (not too tight) and do a couple pulse pushes and everything feels good, like I can feel the internals bunching up in front of the hanger when I push on it, but it still often ends up right against my glans. I even give the top screw a turn or two after applying the weight, and I STILL often get my glans all the way up against the hanger.

So I can think of a couple solutions, has anyone tried these?

1) Adding a relatively thick jelly cock ring behind my squeezed-out glans to create artificial shoulders.

2) Switching to the Bib Hardcore for better grip. I’d like to know more about the hardcore in general, so if you’ve used one, let me know how your experience was/is please.

I just really want to find a comfortable way to hang. I have made pretty good gains, and kept most of them despite my long layoff, but I am so tired of fighting my hanger and spending every set in some degree of discomfort praying my stop watch will go off sooner.

Also of note, since starting again after like six months I am completely deconditioned, I am all the way back to 3.5 pounds and it feels like I’m hanging a tire or something, but even at that light weight I’m still having the same problems I was having before. Anyone with input, I would love to hear it!

Hi, I tried the same thing with the afb hanger, for me, it has to be very tight so the hanger and the weight cant push the cock ring down and cause slippage. basically I think the CR could work like a padding between the hanger and the glans. However, there was still stress on my glans. It didnt work very well :(

I tried to make a finger-like afb (2 sticks act like 2 finger when doing stretches), but got no luck, I think there are 2 important factors, they are the friction and the comfortably of the padding material used behind the glans ( like I said, I was trying to mimic the finger when doing stretches).

Just attach it lower. You could need to go near the base. Also check the wrapping. You should push out the most blood you can from your penis.

@marinera - you think even higher (closer to the base) than 1.5” away from the glans? That’s not gonna be too high up the shaft?

Right now I’m wrapping with sweatshirt material then Theraband, real old school. But either today or tomorrow after work I’m gonna go looking for some hair ties like the ones Scunci discontinued and try just a double HTW for wrapping. Maybe with the outer HTW rolled up a bit at the front. Will be playing around with it to find the best way for me.

Has anyone tried the hardcore? I’m really interested in Bib’s claims that it gives a far superior grip and basically eliminates twisting/rotated shaft alignment.

Yes that’s what I mean. It’s not much the blood that will form the cushion that stops the hanger from slipping over the glans, it’s the skin. If you are uncut, don’t retract foreskin.

I am cut. I’ll try again tonight with it attached higher and see how it goes. Probably gonna get some wicked skin stretch at first, but that stretches out nice and quick. Thanks for the advice Marinera, seems like you’re always there with a good word when I need help, language barriers notwithstanding. ;)

So all good news to report. Marinera, moving the hanger and wrap up closer to the base about a quarter inch completely fixed the problem with the hanger riding up onto my glans. But even after this I was having trouble keeping my shaft straight in the hanger, each time it would rotate about 30 degrees one way or the other. Tried repeatedly to attach and it kept happening. Decided to remove the Theraband and replace it with an eight inch piece of that self-adhesive wrap/bandage/tape, like you might use for a sprained wrist or ankle. The wrap was MUCH thinner, a bit tighter, and the rotation stopped completely. I was in there straight down the middle, and aside from some skin stretching, it felt like a dream!

Still want to try the hair tie wrap, but this is working great for now. I am going to try it the same way tomorrow to make sure it wasn’t just a fluke, but I feel pretty good that I found a solution.
