Gained .37 In 2 Months Then Lost It

Gained .37 In 2 Months Then Lost It

I began hanging OTS with 10 lbs in 1-17-08. I had a bpfsl of 7” (not doing erect measuring).
By 3-14-08 I had a bpfsl of 7 3/8”. I was so happy to finally be making steady progress. Then I decided to take 3 days off due to blisters, scabs, and dry skin. That 3 day break has proven to be the worst thing I could’ve done!

I lost all that I had worked so hard to gain. I’ve been using Vaseline for the blisters and crap and it’s helped greatly (thanks BIB). But what the hell happend to my gains?

I’m using a homemade version of The Bib Hanger.

Weight:15-17lbs.
Duration: 20 minutes (4x20)
200 jelqs

Anyone have any advice?

Maybe the penis was less relaxed the last time you measured. Try stretching it a bit before measuring (and soking it in hot water or something similar).

I haven’t lost any gains in a 1yr break.

I’m having the same problems. Making GREAT gains after 1-2 days of all day hanging (up to 1/4 inch in length and girth) and then losing it on the less intense days (or worse, a complete rest day with just golf weights). I understand it’s all in the tunica, which just seems to really resist permanence.

I’m really stuck on how to cement these gains. Even jelqing doesn’t seem to work.

Have you ruled out variations in erection quality or measuring technique?

Horny Bastard

This is kind of interesting. I just stopped hanging for the past month due to time restrictions and some nasty scabs on my foreskin that needed healing, and have only lost MAYBE 1/8 inch of BPFSL (which will probably return upon resuming hanging)

I was just wondering if you’ve been jelqing or doing any other PE in the days off? Sometimes after a jelq or pump session I get temporary retraction of BPFSL.

Well, Im back to around 7.25 but still frustrated with the fact that Im not seeing gains nearly as quickly as before the 3 day break. I remember when I started up again, I felt like I had lost my rythm/technique. No BS, I was growing at the rate of 1 cetimeter a day. Sounds almost impossible but its totally true. Thats why Im so pissed!

I was thinking last night about this. You see, I havent done any "real" PE for years. I did practically nothing until I started hanging in January. But due to personal issues, I didnt hang seriously (everyday) until mid February. I was inspired by Braindrain’s experimental hanging routine (see: "Bowflex Hanging"). He made quick gains hanging at various angles. I tried it and it worked for me too. My night/morning wood was so insane that some nights it was impossible to sleep.

Hanging using a Bowflex

The downside was that I developed blisters and scabs. This made my dick sore all day. I would jelq and warm up before hanging. Like I said the gains were crazy and I was measuring everyday like Braindrain was. I asked Bib what would be the wisest thing to do and he flat out said not to stop under any surcumstances. By then, I had already stopped for 3 days to heal.

I regret stopping the momentum cause it cost me big time bro. Not just in gains, but in rythm/technique.

Let’s suppose that I reached my ideal length. How often then should I hang for just keeping my length?

Sounds like elastic deformation in action. You were probably in the middle ground between your original size and the size needed for it to become permanent. You’ll want to get plastic deformation if you want it to stay. Basically there are two types of gains. Temporary gains (elastic deformation) or permanent gains (plastic deformation). Temporary gains eventually become permanent if you keep going, if you stop too soon it won’t happen.

While having a temporary gain, caused by elastic deformation, every time you rest it slowly creeps back to it’s old size and given enough rest it will actually take you back to square one. This is not ideal, that is why frequency and consistency is of great importance in PE.

It’s harsh but I suspect one missed session can take you back several steps and perhaps even to square one.

I’m going to use an analogy to demonstrate my point. I suck at this so hopefully you can understand half of it.

It’s like trying to keep a fire burning. Every time you aren’t adding wood to it (no pun intended) it’s burning itself out, but it keeps going for a little while on what it’s got. The more wood you add, the longer it’ll last until you need to add some more. You have to consistently keep adding wood to it with the proper frequency/timing (if you do it to slowly it’ll die out). Sure, you get a little breathing time every time you’ve added wood but it won’t burn forever and if you for some reason cannot add wood to it (your 3 rest days) for, say a day, it’ll die out and you have to start all over if you haven’t already kept it burning for a certain amount of time. Lets say you need to keep it going for 1 day, if you fail and it dies out before that you have to start all over. If you make it, you’ll have success and can now take a break.

Ok, the wood adding is the PE training, the fire is your gains. The good news is, you won’t have to keep it burning forever, once you’ve reached a certain time the temporary gains will become permanent and you may stop and live happily with your new permanent gain or you can take a decon break and then do another round/cycle to add even more permanent gains. And so on..

That’s pretty much my outlook on gains so far.. Maybe it makes sense to you, maybe it doesn’t but good luck! :)
