There probably have been very limited gains from exclusive golf weight usage. Those who might gain anything would be newbie’s new to hanging. I would be very surprised if newbie gains lasted more then a month or two because golf weights don’t apply enough weight to accomplish anything by themselves. That is not their purpose. Their purpose is to facilitate moderation of hanging routine irregularities and prevent losses due to over training trauma.

I never have and wont say that golf weights can produce length gains in and of themselves.

I understand completely what you are saying, would you say its due to lack of tension? Wouldn’t it act like an ADS
such as any type of extender? From what i’ve read on Thunders people have gained from using strictly an ADS

Sure an extender could act like any ADS. I guess the only drawback is wearing one in public. That’s a lot of apparatus to hide, but yeah it would work.

I wear PE weights up to 10 hours a day as a ADS and I can say that they have helped with my gains. I work as a machinist and am on my feet most of the day. I also wear baggy bib overalls so the weights are not very noticeable.

I can’t say using the weights alone is where I made my gains but I know they sure helped. I have gained gradually over a period of 3 years now and hope to get another inch. I still cannot believe a .5 inch gain in 8 days without photo proof.
