Is hanging 10 minutes per day even worth the effort?

I started up the newbie routine awhile back(been out of the PE world for nearly 20 years now). I got myself a zen hanger to help with manual stretching. It definitely helps with hitting my ligs better. I have VERY tight ligs and never tried hanging. I know noose hangers are frowned upon here and have serious weight limits. I tried 2.5lbs and realized immediately I could handle more. I moved up to 5lbs and I’m starting to feel some lig fatigue. I may add another 1.25 lb. I am wary of upping the weight too much with the noose hanger. Been doing SD and some BTC.

The real question is, will 1 10m set daily make gains or am I wasting my time? I usually jelq afterward to restore bloodflow. I am hesitant to go past 10m a session with a noose hanger and don’t have a ton of extra time to sneak away and do multiple sets per day.

First, I hope you’re well OG. You guys are the reason why most of the new generation have a place to come to learn this stuff.

Second try checking out 5.5 Squared’s thread, he lists a pretty comprehensive guide to hanging. You should try to aim for around 10+ hours a week (heat is GREATLY recommended). I’d recommend first reading his thread and then using the stress calculator (which you can either find in his thread or using the search tool) to build a routine. I’ve attached an example routine below:

Routine:
* 8 mins @ 16 oz (cold)
* 8 min @ 24 oz (cold)
* 15 min @ 32oz (heated)
* 15 @ 40 oz (heated)
* 30 min @ 56 oz (heated)
* 15 min @ 64 oz (cool down)

About the noose hanger though it would be difficult to do it for a sustained time. I do know the vacuum hanger is better for entry-level hangers (like myself) who work with lower weights while classic (noose) hangers are best for advanced hangers working with heavier weights. Yet, I don’t think it really matters but it might be kinda annoying to keep stopping between sets rather than doing it for an hour, taking a lil breather (checking glans for abt a minute) and then restarting. Getting a new hanger would be expensive though, so I think you might just need to let it breath for a minute every 15-20 between your sets. Welcome back OG!

If you look at the newbie routine which involve 10 minutes of manual stretches and 10 minutes jelqing it produces results.
So i would say yes to a limited extent. Probably only for newbie gains.
To go through the plateau you will need more time and heat.

But as an individual with only one newbie gains chance i would wait for better conditions in order to squeeze the maximum out of newbie gains by being not limited in what i do.

Time to get a new ruler and start tracking.

Moved up to 6.25lbs. Might cut the jelqing down to 3m post hang just for blood recirculation. If I can only get 1 10m set a day maybe I should hang 7 days a week. Thoughts?

What is the consensus on silicone sleeves to keep the penis elongated? I switched back to boxers and hang loose pretty well. I haven’t measured but I’d say I’m at 5”+ on flaccid hang. I’m unsure if a silicone sleeve would benefit if I’m not really turtling. I also avoid ejaculation as much as possible(yes, even during sex).

Does anyone apply heat while hanging? I use one of those screw top water bags for warm up. I wonder if I should apply it while hanging. Thoughts?

I’m also experimenting with topical application of lugol’s iodine solution to deal with scar tissue. So far I have had mild irritation where my injury happened a few weeks ago, midshaft underside of penis. It makes me thinks there may be healing going on.

Not sure if its getting back in the gym, PE, or the iodine treatment, but erections are much more frequent and I’m waking up with diamond cutters again.

Heat is critical for all PE activity. FIR heat pads are the cutting edge as they penetrate deeper into the tissues.


Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Up to 8-3/4 lbs now. No discomfort. Still just 10m daily. Hanging SD. Need a setup for BTC, best I can do now is lean back while standing.
