Hanging and Girth Gains

I’ve been hanging something like a month now, I was starting to worry that doing so was going to harm my girth gains I was trying to make. I was noticing how after hanging my girth would drop back to normal.

Today however, I measured before any PE (normal), then after PE (jelqing and clamping) +1/4”, then hours later I hung before bed, and still had +1/8” girth afterwards. This felt good and I’m no longer worried that hanging will harm girth gains. I think I can do both at the same time.

I really think that I’ve been over-training a bit, and now that I’ve toned things down I’m noticing the post PE pump lasting longer, and I think I should start making some headway again. Gotta keep the credo ~ Less is More! - and stop trying to be too hardcore.

Anyone else have thoughts on the subject?

I have only gotten base girth gains with hanging. And I’m pretty sure you could lose some non base girth gains by just hanging that’s just my thoughts and not proven.

I follow this school of thought —go for length first, gladly accepting any girth gains that occur as a side effect, and then go for girth last after length goal is reached. If what Dino says is true, then this school of thought is even more appropriate, not just because length gains may be more difficult to achieve after developing girth first. The downside to this school of thought is, before serious girth routines are begun, the dick may begin to look like a telephone pole.

Well length seems to be coming easier anyways, so I’ll go with that I guess.

I have been hanging a little over a month now mainly for length with not paying much attention to what if any girth gains may be added. I have notice a little gain in girth at the base but haven’t measured for over a month to see if there are any gains. I have made a promise to myself that I would wait 2 months before the next measurements were made.

At this time in my life (50 yrs.) I am looking for length first, then girth

I thought that the general idea is that girth is not affected by hanging, but I can see how it wouldn’t be optimal conditions for making new girth gains. Could it actually cause a loss of girth by stretching out the tissues?

How many here believe hanging could cause girth loss from the midshaft?

I’m not sure but I think so, I also think it’s better to do one or the other that’s why I’m hanging now with a little jelqing for health and than I will go to an all girth work out

There have been posts here before about how your body either elongates or expands the penis. It is very hard to go left and right at the same time without defying the laws of space/time. People have suggested as well that it is easier to pull apart 1 string then 10. The thicker the penis the more it takes to stretch.

However some people have had luck with alternating between length and girth. The conditioning of one (length) was giving time to decondition while they focused on the other (girth.) They teeter-tottered back and forth. I am not sure how this avoids the original problem of too much girth but if you are close in length goals then you can try that.

Long story short: focus on one thing at a time.

At what girth do you think would start interfering with length gains? I am closing in at 5.5” midshaft and I think that’d be a good girth to have for a while, as I focus on length. I just want to have the best equiptment I can to use in the mean time while I work on gaining more. I figure as long as I don’t go over 6” EG too soon I should be ok.

My thought is this: At any given time, you only have so much volume of penis tissue. If you increase one dimension, you decrease the other until you grow more.

Ok wow, today I did part of my normal jelq session then only did half the clamping I normally do,(didn’t have enough time for the full session) I got my +1/4” PSG.
Then I went out had some drinks at the bar etc. Came back hours later, hung 3 - 20min sets, and I still have the +1/4”.

I think dudes were looking over in jealously at the urinals too. :up:

I’ve never paid much attention to girth in my workouts and frankly only measure girth once in while. I realized that girth gain was not something I actually had to work on it kinda came with the length gains.

So my question to others would have to be for those who have gained a couple of inches, what happened to your girth measurements and did you do anything specific to gain in girth at all?

So you gained 3/4” in girth from primarily hanging etc? What other PE exercises do you do?

If you hang your base girth increases, as per many Bib posts and hanger’s experiences, mine included. Eventually you turn into an upside waffle cone. It does end up working well since doing old school jelqs can give you a baseball effect. If you do manual then your girth really doesn’t change that much, IMO except for any losses from temporary girth gains.

I just started hanging and have noticed my base girth appears to be getting bigger, although it could be my mind playing tricks on me.

I also do girth work during the week as well, I just can’t let go and just hang. I actually really, really enjoy the girth work.
