Antistar, you can find a lot on this forum about ripping the padding out of the Padded Starter(PS) that you have. No harm in trying, and you will learn. I plugged the padding anchor holes in the old starter with epoxy. You might need to plug with chewing gum in places so the epoxy won’t drain out.
I did a lot of filing on the old starter after I ripped the padding off. It was then comfortable with no padding. When I got the new, Unpadded Starter(UPS), I filed top and bottom channels larger, mainly for the dorsal vein and nerve area. I didn’t like it at first, but then I started using gray/silver Theraband, and that is working great.
