how long (within reason) is optimal hang time?

I’ve been hanging two sets of 20 minutes since I started (about a month ago).

I gained about .25 inches on this routine. (my other .25 in gains I attribute to harder erections)

I was hoping to just increase the weight gradually without increasing the time significantly. However recently I’ve read threads where members were saying 40 minutes was nothing.

Is 60 minutes adequate? this would be 3 sets of 20 minutes, and not two 30 minute sessions, correct?

You want to hang as long as possible while still reaching a good level of fatigue. You will probably have to decrease the weight the longer you are hanging, but maximizing your time is very important. 3 20 minute session is OK.

60 minutes is really the maximimum amount of time i want to spend on hanging… I’d love to be able to spend my whole day working on a big dick but my schedule is too active at this point.

should I reconsider hanging as a method to acheive my goals if I can’t hang more than 60 minutes? (although my goals are length and I know hanging is best for this)

No, I would continue hanging to maximize gains, but I would also try to throw in some kind of traction wrap or ADS device or any other type of passive PE.

By this do you mean ‘I don’t have time to fit it in my schedule no matter how hard I try or multitask’, or, ‘I don’t have the motivation to do that much PE because I don’t want a big dick enough’.

If it’s the former, look into getting up early, staying up later, split sessions, stealth PE, ADS, hanging while working/studying/watching TV/browsing the web/whenever, piss pulls, PE in the shower etc, to try to get 10 hours in per week, (or build up to 10 hours gradually I should say).

If the latter, either just continue spinning your wheels and hope you’re an easy gainer, or acquire the motivation somehow.

Do not reconsider if you are still gaining at 40. 60 should provide a good bit more stress.

The thing is, once you reach a plateau, you will have to go up in weight and/or time. Manuals will probably not help you at that point.

Just from anecdotal evidence, it appears that around 10 hours per week provides about the best rate of gain. This is close to 1.5 hours per day on a seven day schedule. But it surely does not mean you cannot gain at a good rate hanging one hour per day.

Thanks SS4, I needed that kick in the butt. :) I guess it is possible for me to hang more while studying for my classes.

I really do want a big one…I guess my fear is just putting in tons of work and putting down money for equipment and then getting nothing from it but a sore dick. I had trouble determining my true LOT and when I finally came to a conclusion I was about 8 I felt a little better, but I think my early gains let me feel like I could relax a little. Thanks for the kick in the butt though, maybe that’s what I was subconsciously looking for in this thread.

With regard to ADS: I’d love to do this but I’ve never really gotten the knack of concealing an effective setup.

Mr. Bib: Thanks for that information that 10 hours weekly is a good amount…knowing that my efforts have a good chance of success I think I will aim for that amount.

Yeah me either. Outdoors I use traction wraps, they are not concealed, but just give you a big bulge, which is fine by me. Use this, and have fun in classes and on the bus or whatever by sitting with your legs apart. Just make sure you have a bulge and not what looks like an erection going down one leg!

What kind of traction wrap do you use? Any experience with the TheraP? I`m uncut and I didn`t like Lil`S ADS, so I`m considering a traction wrap.
