jelqing and hanging HELP!

I just started hanging the other day and have been jelqing
for a little over a month.I hung 2.5 lbs for 3 sets of 20 min.
and it felt about the right amount to start out with after
that I did 20 min. of jelqing . My problem is that today is my 3d
day of rest and im still sore from the hanging but i have healed
from the jelqing. So what i would like to know is can i jelq
when i am sore from hanging and can i hang when sore from
jelqing. what i would really like to do is jelq and hang on the same days and then wait for both of them to be healed
before i start doing it over again

P.S
i have been jelqing 3-4 times a week just debends on how long it takes me to heal from the last work out

Hey J4L,

What type of hanger are you using? Describe your hanging routine? What are you wrapping with? What do you mean by “heal” from jelqing? Heal means recovering from an injury, you should not be getting anywhere near the point of injury.

I use the home made bib hanger

I hang for 3 sets of 20 min. with 10 min. break in between sets

I meant heal from soreness

I cut up a wash cloth to use for wrap and hang about

an inch under my head

You are just starting out with the hanger, I’d suggest that you cut back on your jelqing to about 15 minutes and do not hang if you are still too sore from the previous workout. In fact on your time off, for homework, why not read this whole forum and increase your knowledge of hanging? There is some dam good posting in this forum by Bigger and a lot of it will help you to understand the way to correctly hang for the best possilble gains with the least amount of risks. There are six full pages of threads here for you to study, I’d suggest that you go to page six and work your back to the present posts.
