Just Bought a Heating Pad, Anyone Else Use One?

I am curious if anyone else uses a heating pad? I use it on medium heat for 10 minutes or so before hanging, and the pressed against the base of my dick while I am hanging 10 lbs., seated.

Anyone else try this? :)

Yep me too, sounds like you are definitely on the right track, I have of course found another heating source, I use a space heater under my desk before during and after with a wrap…

I used a heating pad for a while but now use a rice sock. I definitely prefer the rice sock to the heating pad, although it does involve the distinct drawback of having to have a microwave handy.

I’ve also recently started experimenting with a 150W IR bulb placed about 1 foot from my unit. Frankly, I don’t think it does much. I may try the 250W bulb, or try focusing the “light” better.

I had a conversation earlier today with my mother about neck pain. Her physical therapist recommended she make herself a rice sock. Too funny.

I said, “Yeah, I think I’ve heard of that.”

Personally I prefer a heating pad, because I used a rice sock, and those things are a pain in the butt. NOt that rice socks are a bad instrument to use, oh the memories…but heating pads are a good lazy way to do it and yes you don’t need a microwave. Plus A rice sock does not get or stay as hot as a heating pad for a full 10-minutes.

My heating pads never got hot enough fast enough. They were also kind of awkward to bend around my unit, and if the pad wasn’t in contact with my skin there was little effect.

I find that my rice sock gets plenty hot. I start my sets with a good 3 minute nuke, and then go 1-2 minutes for successive sets. Sometimes it gets too hot, and I have to put a piece of cloth between it and my skin to prevent burns.

If your rice sock can’t hold the heat for more than 10 minutes, could I suggest maybe adding more rice and/or starting at a higher temperature?

To each his own. Maybe an IR heating pad would cause me to switch, but I don’t feel like forking out the bucks for one right now.

My wife recommended a rice sock to her mother and my mother…while I was in the room!
As soon as she uttered the words “rice sock”, I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

I use a heating pad on high for 5-15 minutes before hanging and then while hanging as well. I think a rice sock is better but for me the heating pad is soo much easier. I hang while wearing sweats and just fold the pad over the waistband and between that and the sweats trapping in the heat it seems to be working very well. If your pad doesn’t heat up fast enough try folding it in half and sticking it under a pillow or blanket, this seems to work well for me.

I want to get an IR bulb and give that a whirl.

I absolutely love using a heating pad! I feel so much better about hanging with a heating pad, rather than cold. I just feel like I get a much better stretch in my ligs, etc. No complaints! :)

before folding your heating pad in half make sure it is ok, mine has a warning on it that if its folded or pinched, it could cause an electrical hazard.

just hanging right now… let me see what it says… “Danger…. blah blah blah… avoid sharp folds…..” what the… “this pad meets the IAH (international association of hangers) requirements for minimum heat output” guess i got a special one.

I agree you need to be careful when folding I think the reseon for the warning is that if you folded it and tried to crease it you could puncture it. I never try and crease it.
