LG or VacHanger?

LG or VacHanger?

I’ve been using the VacExtender 4.3 sleeve and cap from Monkeybar to do some hanging. Gotten up to 10lbs and I can go 1 hour without a break although I typically break for 5-10 minutes every 1/2 hour. So this thing works. I really have no problem hanging with it at any angle. But I want to know if a dedicated vac hanging apparatus would be much better. What are your thoughts on the LG vs VacHanger 3?

I’m not a hanger, but the vachanger seems to work just as well , and is much less expensive than the lg hanger. There’s also a member here who built a 25 $ vachanger (cut a cylinder from leluv). If you have no problems with your setup I’m not sure you need to change .

Yes, I’m sure it’s adequate but just wondering if there are some details that might be better. I could fab something up also but it isn’t worth my time if an off the shelf is available.

Ask Kickinthemebs, he’s a champ of the vachanger.

I would go with bib. Your already at 10 lbs eventually your going to move up in weight and what I’ve been reading about those hanger is thats all they can

Is a vatican assassin

Hey, I have the vachanger3 and have hung up to 14 lbs with it no problem. I have read of people hanging up to 16 lbs with it. I am not sure if you need to hang any more weight than that with a vac-hanger because it is a different design and set-up to compression hangers. You can get pretty awesome fatigue at relatively low weights with vacuum hanging. For myself, I found the 10-11 lbs mark was awesome for gains and feel when I just used the vacuum cone. I preferred the set-up of just the vacuum cone to applying the sleeves with it.

I have not used the LG hanger but it is an awesomely made device. Looks and sounds really good. However, the claims of being able to hang 25 lbs+ with it are not really necessary for 99% of hangers. That is a sure way to get blisters and mess up your glans.

If you are hanging currently and are having no problems, and are still gaining, I would stick to that ;)

Thanks for the input, Gents. The reality is I’m probably too much of a gear whore when it comes to new things. PE being no exception.

It’s good to hear you’ve been hanging with the VacExtender as I’ve been curious about doing so before buying a VacHanger.

Same here, I have too many devices, contraptions, and PE things. It is like trying new toys, fun dick toys!

I think monkeybar has some newer designs coming. He recently released a newer version vac hanger, and the cap looks better than the older ones. I believe he’s also working on a cap design that is a bit deeper for those of us with a longer glans. So the LG vs VacHanger question needs to also consider the newer designs in the pipeline.

But I must confess, I lean monkeybar’s way because his customer support is great.

Thanks for the update, ErnieBanks. I had suggested to MB a number of times to improve that cap design and size. The original, I have, has aggravated me to the point of nearly recommending other products. Yes, he is a good guy and provides great service and value. I look forward to that new design with great anticipation.

“The different sleeves are something to explore for all vac hangers I believe, especially if it could mean higher weight with less vacuum. However I knew the slippage at weights above 10 lbs would be the downfall of the vac hanger. When I got the Max-Vac original I didn’t have a hand-pump to begin with and once I could apply added vacuum it opened many doors and made hanging much more comfortable. I have also hung with The Grip System before I got the LG. Again even with wrapping the hourglass sheath with electrical tape 8-10 lbs was the max. This puts it at a huge disadvantage to hangers that can go well above this weight.”

I’ve been hearing that the weight is limited on vacuum hanging, but I wanted to experience the internal pull. Which has not let me down, but I got an LG because of it’s 25#’s capacity. The threads I’ve been reading lately say to get a good weight, about 5-9#’s, and go for duration. I’ll have to check out your thread on the link you provided.

You should also check out the Q&A thread there for the LG Hanger. Marlon and Dr. Ric can also be emailed if you have questions. Customer service with these guys are like no other in my opinion.

If you check out my signature you can see how I set up for the Max-Vac, but the LG blows the Max-Vac out of the water. I’ve since switched to microfoam tape and have been having good results. You can see how I set up now with the LG here, post #25

longer - have you tried monkeybar’s new vachanger 3 design? It looks pretty similar to the LG Hanger.

Like you, I struggle with blisters from vacuum hanging. I tried the micropore tape, but still got a blister under the tape. I agree that the microfoam tape offers better protection, but it doesn’t stick very well. I’ve also tried the silicone cap approach, but still got blisters under that too. Sitll hunting for the perfect solution. Maybe I’ll take a page out of your book and use gobs of microfoam tape after the blister heals.

Live long and prosper.
