Maybe a dumb question

Maybe a dumb question

Been having a little head troubles lately.

It seems that sometimes when I put on the bib for a set in a session I just get it perfect. The set and pull feel good and there is no head discomfort whatso ever.

Other times the head starts to get a little sore at about the 12 13 min mark. My sets are 15mins max.

Now I reckon its not the blood in the head. I squeeze before bib hanger application and I can acculaly see my head and penis reduce in size. I then think okay there is no excess blood in the shaft and head and I put on the bib and hang.

But lsometimes the head just becomes sore. Its not blood shot and is only a tinny bit numbish and has slight discolouration. Its never purple just a reddish colour.

Perhaps I’m tightening the bib too much. I don’t think so but I always have the teeth completely meshing.

I read somewhere that you can overtighten for a particular weight hung. But I feel that the teeth messing is a good indication that I have the right wrap thickness and bib hanger hold of my internal structures.

Now I have done a simulation of tightening the bib and measured with a depth gauge from tip of gel to the meshing point of the gel in the V that is formed and sits just behind the head. This measurement = 24mm. Now I also read that we should use 1” 25mm as a standard distance away form the head when we attach. I have felt the result of dilerately moving the attachment point back to the base to stretch skin. What I want to know is that if I have by chance been placing the bib too close to my head at attachment time would this result in the head soreness I sometimes have been experiencing?

I mean too say that at times when I have put the bib closer to the head when I attach the weight I immediatley feel skin bunching and discomfort the moment I get into the hang position.

It’s strange because sparadic head soreness at times prevents me from going on in duration of hanging sessions.

Have others noticed this as well in the start. I don’t believe its a newbie hanger thing, because I try to place the hanger in the same attachment point each time. I understand that wrapping material will move slightly each tome I hang and therefore it may be better to rewrapp every 3 sets or so. Does any anyone have any ideas. Sorry if this seems like a dumb post. I wanted to work on it a bit longer but I don’t really have any ideas.

GMJ,

If you are tightening too much, it will hurt the shaft, not the head.

Your problem is not tightening enough. The teeth should not be completely meshed. Why would you think having the teeth meshed would be the correct tightness? That is, since you would not be able to tighten anymore?

You did not say what your bottom adjustments were, but decrease the bottom gap a little, or use just a little more wrap, and try tightening a bit more. Are you tightening, then waiting a minute, and tightening some more? Do you tighten any after applying the weight for a couple minutes?

I thought that the teeth messing was what we aiming for. (SILLY ME)

My mentor posting pics of hanging and had it commented on how meshed the teeth were. I just took it for granted that that was required.

Anyway I will work on this slowly and try to use more brainmatter. But for the records I do tighten, then wait a about 30 - 60 secs then tighten again and once the weight is hang lift the hanger slightly or level it hanging and tighten a tiny bit more.

What I do notice this today is that when I deliiberately didn’t tighten the top bolt to my normal mark the head did start to go darker alot quicker into the set. I measured the distance between wingnut and whit bead and it was 17mm. The next set I tighten to my useless setting and hang then measured and it was 21mm on the top bolt and did not have as much discolouration.

Please correct me but didn’t you say that the hanger that is tighter will promote a better blood flow than one that is loose ofcourse taking wrap into consideration. I.e a fatter wrap can hinder blood flow for the same hanger tightness setting.

I will give my wrapped girth and bottom settings next week and will alter the bottom gap slighlting in, but I have already done this once and I found that this seemed to have the effect of dramatically increasing blood and penis girth between back of hanger and the base.

I reckon that if I was only hanging say 2 - 3 sets I would not get this problem but as I’m attempting to go up in session duration and hence get in the zone again I get the head problem. Maybe I will need to adj the hanger settings into my sessions as they progress for a while.

I will sort it out. I must not of found the right settings to start with or I took it for granted that me current settings were perfect and didn’t want to change them.

I guess I have become stagnant with my settings. I will improve.

GMJ,

>I thought that the teeth messing was what we aiming for. (SILLY ME)<

The teeth meshing, or the degree thereof, is irrelevant in that you could adjust the hanger so that NO pressure was applied even with the teeth meshed completely. You are searching for the correct amount of hanger pressure, in order to hang the amount of weight you wish safely.

>My mentor posting pics of hanging and had it commented on how meshed the teeth were. I just took it for granted that that was required.<

You do want the teeth to mesh, at least slightly, WHEN you have the correct amount of wrap, to give the correct amount of girth, AND the bottom hex nuts have the correct gap.

The top tightening bolt is the last factor. It is a trial and error process to find the correct wrapped girth, and bottom adjustments, to give the proper top gap, and therefore the amount of teeth meshing. I know that is confusing, but if you at least realize the process, you will be fine with experimentation.

The problem is, you might not be able to tighten the top bolt enough, given your wrapped girth, and bottom settings.

>Anyway I will work on this slowly and try to use more brainmatter. But for the records I do tighten, then wait a about 30 - 60 secs then tighten again and once the weight is hang lift the hanger slightly or level it hanging and tighten a tiny bit more.<

That is good. But if the teeth are completely meshed, how do you get any extra tightening in?

>What I do notice this today is that when I deliiberately didn’t tighten the top bolt to my normal mark the head did start to go darker alot quicker into the set. <

This is from the hanger sliding down too far, acting as a noose around the head?

>Please correct me but didn’t you say that the hanger that is tighter will promote a better blood flow than one that is loose ofcourse taking wrap into consideration. I.e a fatter wrap can hinder blood flow for the same hanger tightness setting.<

Yes, if the wrap is loose enough to permit blood flow, then the hanger which cannot slide down to the head will give better blood flow, than the hanger that can slide down and act as a noose.

>I will give my wrapped girth and bottom settings next week and will alter the bottom gap slighlting in, but I have already done this once and I found that this seemed to have the effect of dramatically increasing blood and penis girth between back of hanger and the base.<

I don’t know what this means.

>I reckon that if I was only hanging say 2 - 3 sets I would not get this problem but as I’m attempting to go up in session duration and hence get in the zone again I get the head problem. Maybe I will need to adj the hanger settings into my sessions as they progress for a while.<

Sometimes the shaft girth will become smaller as a session goes on. This is temporary, but you must take it into account in subsequent sets.

>I will sort it out. I must not of found the right settings to start with or I took it for granted that me current settings were perfect and didn’t want to change them.<

The one thing certain in PE is that things change.

>I guess I have become stagnant with my settings. I will improve.<

That’s the ticket. You can always get better. Usually, the experimentation also leads to stresses on the penis, no matter what, and you can make gains while experimenting. You should find that the amount of time in which you can remain static is rather nil. Having the knowledge to make the correct changes is critical.
