I have two types of stretch marks. I have horizontal and vertical. The vertical (running base to glans direction) are very small. Maybe centimeter or smaller. These are only one or two every now and then. They happen under part of the hanger nearest to the base of my penis. I actually believe these are what I would consider friction (for lack of a better word) stretch marks. I believe due to poor tightening the hanger slips just slightly while pulling the skin forward..
Now my horizontal stretch marks are in areas that never make direct contact with the hanger and almost encircle the penis. Over time these appear to fade but these are not in an area that is ever touched by the hanger. They are also under the area that is touched by the hanger. On me they are not forward of the hanger that I can see. However, logically I think I can understand why they aren’t ahead of the hanger.
I only hang BTC and SD. There is no traction force applied ahead of the hanger.
My issue was you stated “those are caused by the friction of the hanger on the skin.” I am having skin stretch on area that is not clamped. Now I am actually not saying it is by growth of penis. The hanger has the ability to stretch skin and I am positive I could regrow a facsimile of my foreskin. I believe some of my skin stretching and growth was actually caused by poor hanger technique.
However, even as I say that I also had a couple months of explosive growth that coincided with the skin stretch and stretch marks. I am saying I truly don’t know.
Now my response was very selective only about the skin stretching even though I disagreed with the entire post that you had written. marinera - More Hanging Sets or Adding Extender
At that time I had written it I had just had about 6 weeks of gains. My first gains ever and it just didn’t match with anything you posted. I only hang BTC and sometime SD. I predominantly feel the tension and soreness in my ligs. I definitely had signs of stretchmarks that where not in areas attached to the hanger.
I am pretty positive the gains are not in my imagination. I am also in my 40’s. I am probably borderline morbidly obese and it has been years since I have had a regular schedule of physical training.
I do get the occasional back soreness from hanging but for me it is my partly due to the style of hanging that I do. I lie on my bed and I actually let my butt free hang over with my feet on a chair. If I had my butt closer to the bed or even supported on the bed I am sure it would reduce some of the pressure on my back. However, I like to swing the weights when I hang and I have found this method to work the best. Mind you this is not what Bib recommends. His method of hanging placed to much pressure on my coccyx and I found it very uncomfortable. I am sure many would look at my method and find it equally uncomfortable.
Right now I do about 2 hours a day of hanging time and I plan on getting up to 3 hours a day. I don’t consider myself a hermit. Since I do hang like this I could see other people with either obsessive personalities or a work at home job doing this for many hours out of the day. When I hang just to hang it is tedious. It is the last thing I want to do. But if I hang as a secondary thing to reading, studying, learning new job skills the time flies by.
Please understand my previous post and this post is not meant as an attack on you. It is just the more that I hang it doesn’t match with what you are saying. Also the more that I hang and seeing what I have gained from hanging I find it reasonable that others could have gained much more than me.
I truly believe that the limitations on hanging are more lifestyle, personality limitations instead of the physics of how hanging works. Yes I find it hard to believe that people hang 30 hours a week but that doesn’t mean it is impossible. 2 to 3 hours in the day and then 1 to 2 hours at night would get you up to 35 hours a week. At 30 hours a week someone would have done more hanging in 2 months that I have in 10 months. If they where to hang for 1 year like that I could easily imagine multiple inch gains in a year. Yes it sounds crazy but like many things it is amazing what is possible when someone is willing to dedicate the time.
As I say this I feel that we are talking about a very select few people that not only have the time but also the personality to put in that kind of effort. I probably have the time to put in 30 hours a week. I don’t have the personality. Just being honest with myself.
