i sorta have the feeling i killed this (important) thread with my verbose shenanagins. hope not.

basically i am not hanging too much with the new hanger lately. basically what happens is even with just 5 lbs hanging for 10 or so minutes these burst capillaries in my glans (always the same ones) appear kind of dark blue and purple-y, whereas i thought they’d healed and gone away… dang! what a drag!

so i decided to give up hanging for awhile. the spots also occur if i were to pump or have a heavy jelq session. they appear most quickly when i hang with the bib hanger for just a bit though.

i can hang light weights with some of my other (personal) methods, like the donut shaped sand-filled running weights (1 lb. each) which i hang from around my cock and balls and which are such a light weight they do not affect the coloration of my glans.

i’ve also found that if i heat my penis up with rice-sock (actually i use a heat pad i got from the drug store) i can still do the light hanging, jelqing, and some very light vacuum pumping without getting the noisome discoloration.

of course i realize (hard to admit i was wrong, but true) that hanging partially erect has a lot to do with these spots — as the glans because super, burstingly full with blood, right? especially with the weight poised by the bib hanger. i don’t know exactly what to do about this though — the bib hanger seems to act as a sort of “cock ring” for me and my admittedly big (2” across) glans traps the blood and i can’t really squeeze the blood out of it, in spite of everybody’s advice …

anyhoo, it seems the spots are moving to the surface of my glans where they were eventually disappear as my skin renews (human body is so great, huh?) and i can start afresh, but very catiously and with light pressure in all of my various pe activities, most significantly, the bib hanger… (can’t wait!)

so, my x-mas deadline and goal of 8” is forestalled for the time being. still really like the bib hanger, of course, and don’t blame it for the “spots,” but rather my pumping, where i quite often get excessive in the pressure dept.

getting started

I just started using the Bib about 2 weeks ago. I am starting slow and steady like everyone advises. I hung 5lbs for 3 sets of 5 minutes on the first day and I’ve added a minute per set every day. I will do so until I reach 3-20 minute sets and then I will add 2.5lbs every month. I will start posting on a “results” thread at the end of the month.

The only discomfort I have had is due to the slight scrotal webbing that I have. Sometimes it gets pinched in the hanger (or wrapping). It’s tough to avoid but I manage. Someday I will probably get that surgically corrected. I plan to hang (6 days a week) for a year and then jelq for a year, after that I will keep up with some sort of maintainance plan.

I have been using a home made bib for about 8 months. I have gained a little over an inch. Got the bib starter a week ago. Man, is this the thing to use. Very comfortable and easy to use. I am hanging 8 lbs. btc. I am feeling tension in areas which I never felt with the home made bib.

My hanging experience

I´ve been hanging with the bib-starter since September 1:st.

Started at 1.25 kg (1kg=2.2lbs), which is the lowest I have, but I could easily hang 3x20 min with that from start so just the next day I tried 2.5kg instead and now I finally got some pull and soer afterwards, stayed at that for over a week and now I hang about 4.25kg. With that I get a burn and pull that goes up to the skin above my pubic bone up to my lower abs, but no pain, just a burn.

I´m still not sure how fatigued is supposed to feel, I haven´t had to lower weight yet but can stay on same for 4 sets in a row, should I increase the weight? I do get sore, when I manually stretch my penis at any time of the day it feels like a muscle when you press it the day after a hard workout.

I do 5 on and two off and try to get both morning and evening sets in, between 1 and 4 depending on the time I have, each lasting 20 minutes. And I wrap with a single strap of theraband, pretty tight.

I think hanging has increased my circulation, guess my penis needs more blood when it repairs the damage done, anyway it feels good.

A curious observation, not sure if this is just imagination or an effect of autum comming to Sweden, but the first week and a half of hanging I hanged larger flaccid just about all the time but the last few days it shrivle up on me again. Is this an idication of anything I should know or just how it is?

Another thing is that I hang most comfortably BTC, when I hang straight down or out my skin tend to work it´s way over the head and cause the hanger to slide with it. I uncut so I probably have a bit too much skin for the hanger to work at it´s very best. I get this problem even when I have the hanger very tight and hang with no problems BTC, when I try to stand up or just lower my legs while hanging BTC, maybe I just need to apply the hanger even closer to the base and tighten even more, will work on that.

My experience is pretty much like neuromancers post earlier in the thread, but I use less weight.

The burn is probably skin stretch, but if you feel it in your abs, you are getting your ligs worked on also.

That’s it. It sounds like you are at the beginning stages of fatigue. If you go up in weight or time, you will probably have to lower the weight soon. The soreness means you are producing controlled damage.

Do you have to wrap tight?

My theory is, the vessels will become larger as they try to pump blood while constricted.

I and many others have reported this. It becomes larger and smaller over time. It goes up and down like the stock market, but the general trend is up.

Is your head smaller than the upper shaft? Do you have a small prepuce? If so, you may have to leave a little more blood in the head than normally. Not a lot, because that will cause other problems. Just enough to allow for a little extra grip.

Also, placing the hanger a little more toward the base may help. Make sure you tighten enough that the hanger grabs the internal structures. Then, as the weight is applied, the internal ‘meat’ tends to bunch before the head giving a good area of attachment.

Also, have you tried toeing out?

Yes, I have to wrap pretty tight in order to keep the wrapping from “wrinkling” together when I tighten the hanger. It´s not very, very tight but pretty tight. Like when I remove the hanger and leave the wrapping my head and exposed shaft swells up to almost erect proportions while the wrapped part stays flaccid thin. When I reapply the hanger I just squeeze the blood out of the tip and everything looks normal again.

Well, my head is slightly larger than the upper shaft but middle shaft is probably a bit larger or the same, I also think that because I´m uncut the difference becomes even less. I am experimenting with how much blood to keep in the head though, that helps.

Yes, I´ve tried to toe out, first thing I did. I read all the info on your site but it´s always easier and feels better to get feedback on your particular situation. I appreciate it.

Heh, about placing hanger more towards the base, I do that as well, but there´s not a lot of space to move in. I´m about 4.5” flaccid, which probably is on the larger side of average. But 1” is head and closer to the body it´s probably at least 1” that is hidden or connected to the scrotum which just leave enough room for the hanger if you´re to have it some distance from the head. Hopefully I´ll see this room grow over time :)

My comeback experience and problems. First as I mentioned on one of the post here, I am hanging between 15 and 20lbs BTC and the problem that I have is that I very rarely get fatigue. I would get two sets in the morning at 25 mins each, then about 3-4 hours later I would get in another set or two and in about 2-3 hours later I would do my last set. Maybe the time inbetween sets is the reason for this. Also, if I hang low and add the weights too quick, I would experience blood from the urethra. I would have to gradually add the weights and let my unit adjust to the weight for a minute or two then add more weight until I reach the desired weight.

BIB, I am currently using the toe in grip which would put alot of pressure on the head I guess. Would the toe out put less pressure on the head and would it still be as effective on the lig pull as the toe in ? Im thinking that maybe using 20 lbs with toe in may be too much weight on the head What do you think. I am getting some good hanging sessions and would like to reach fatigue and experience having to take weight off. I will work on getting sets in quicker as to not allow healing to take place. Dont know when, but will try to work on it.

Yes, this is rather complicated, but I think it would put less pressure on your head in the manner you are writing about. It will have no effect on lig pull.

I use the hot water in the cup method and insert unit in for 3-5 mins in the morning but dont use it anymore til the next day. Is this the reason Im not fatiguing? I guess I have to hot dunk for each session hey? Darn thats such a pain in the butt toting this cup upstairs before I hide in the broom closet to hang. But if it’s important then I guess I will have to do it hey BIB?

I always reached fatigue much earlier when I used heat. I don’t know if it will do the same for you.

Well, its not quite a broom closet, but it is a room that nobody uses. Sometimes I feel like superman just before he goes in the telephone booth. Her I am, looking right, looking left and when the coast is clear I quickly go in the room and lock the door for a good hanging session.

I will use the rice socks. Today I used a pint size plastic bottle filled with hot water and it worked ok, but the rice socks sounds better. Where can I find a heating pad? Which stores sell them? I would much prefer that.

The name ricesock implies a quite simple device, can you make one at home with any ease? In that case, how?

Get a pair of cotton socks as the thinner socks dont work as good when it comes to distributing the heat moderately. Fill the sock about 3/4 way with uncooked rice and tie the end with a knot. This is your rice sock. Now heat it in the microwave when you are ready to hot wrap. You will have to use your discretion on how long to heat it as it depends on how hot you want it. This is what I do. If I missed anything please update me vets. Thanks.

Ok guys…you convinced me. I just ordered the BIB hanger. I have recently tried hanging but my homemade device sucks so I quit hanging and went back to manual stretching. I haven’t seen gains in a long time (What little gains I have) so I’ve decided to do this hanging thing the right way by ordering the BIB hanger, and reading more about hanging. One issue I have is with time. I only have about 40 minutes total in the morning and about 30 minutes in the evening of free time to hang. The way I see it I need over an hour in the morning (If doing 3 sets of 15 min w/10min rest between sets = 65minutes)

Is there a good routine where I can at least do the 3 sets of 15 minutes in the morning and shorter sets (Or less sets) in the evening?

I´m no authority on the subject of hanging, I have about 3 weeks of experience, but my oppinion is that you shouldn´t stare yourself blind at nbrs now before you have the hanger in your hand.

Try it out and see how much time it takes to recover in between sets and how long you can hang without discomfort and make your schedule after that.

If you don´t need 10 minutes to rest between sets then there´s no need to just sit there looking at the clock and if you can´t hang 20 minutes straight then you shouldn´t do 20 min sets.

Listen to your body and use your time from that and experience.
