New Bib Hanger users

Well i got the regular one, and now i’m thinking i might have been better off with the starter. I just can’t seem to hang as much weight compared with my homemade one. It seems like alot of the weight, when i hang with the bib, is on the sides and i’m use to it all around. I don’t know if i’m not getting enough room between it and the head or what, but for now i’m using my homemade one.

Well I got mine (starter) Aug 1 and have using it more and more,
I am up to appx 3 sets of 10 minutes starting to feel it better and
better. I can now go a whopping 7 1/2 lbs because of pulley system I have implemented pulling up. I was not able to go over
5 lbs hanging down or btc, but I will still use both. No gains to talk about yet because I have not measured, I will do it at EOM.

I am still messing around with wraps and adjustments, one day
I will get it down. Bib makes a great product but I sure wish damn washer on top was attached, I will fix that myself. I am happy I bought it and would do it again. I will post results eom.

Hey Time,

What kind of wrap are you using? What is your homemade hanger, a modified Bib or AFB??

N2G,

A week or two from now and that washer won’t bother you a bit. You will be so used to it, it will be second nature. :D
Also, remember, it is NOT a weightlifting competition. If it was Bigger would win hands down anyway.

Well i bought some theraband with the hanger and tried that. Also tried the cloth i was using with my homemade, neither felt just right. And my homemade is modeled after the modified bib hanger, not exactly but pretty close.

Time,

Give us what exactly the problem is, and maybe we can fix it.

Also, if you bought it less than thirty days ago, you can return it, and get a Starter plus a partial refund.

Got mine on 7/12/02. Had some problems at first until I read some of the threads about toe out, and the bottom wider than the top, etc. I use a 1” ace bandage (about 15” in length), then wrap with a 1” (same 15” in length) theraband on top of that, using the techniques Bib describes in his wrapping thread.

tips I’ve learned: after I have the initial clamp of the hanger, I cup my left hand over my glans and squeeze out the blood, while screwing down the wingnut with my right hand. I’ve found this to really help the hanger grip internal structures, and I get no pressure at all on the glans while I hang. The second trick for me is to pull out all the excess skin I can before I tighten down. The third trick I read from Bib - is to retighten the hanger after a minute or so of hanging. I just lift the weight with my left hand, then tighten the wing nut a turn or two with my right. The bib is really comfortable for me this way - the only way I know I’m hanging is by the sensations on my ligs. I hang mostly straight down with my legs elevated.

I started with 15 lbs for the first set, I’m at 18 1/2 lbs first set now(go down a pound or pound and a half for each set after). I do 3 20 minute sets, 5 on, 2 off. It’s not that I’m trying to make this a weight lifting contest, it’s just that I don’t get any fatigue at the lower weights. I measured after 3 weeks, and I had already gained 1/4” in length. I won’t measure again until Sep 1, but the wife is making comments :) .

p.s. I had tried several other homemade hangers before the bib was available. None of them were satisfactory for the heavier weights. The most successful was the homemade bib made from flexable pvc. It worked quite well up to about 15 lbs. The bib is SO much better and more comfortable - I could easily hang 30 -40 mins straight with it, but I never go beyond 20 mins (paranoid when it comes to my unit :) ). Bib, you really are doing a service charging so low for your hanger - you could easily charge triple and it would still be worth every penny!

I recently started….I am starting out with a modest amount of weight. (5lbs) I don’t want to over do things here guys!

I have found that I don’t need any wrap yet-but I’m sure as the weight increases, so will the need for wrap(s).

Hanging 2 pounds with no wrap with a Bibstarter. Any questions? :)

I never knew how much my home-made bib was holding back the process until I strapped on the real deal last week. Now I can hardly feel the 12 lbs I hang BTC while before a lot of the stretch I ‘thought’ I felt was really discomfort from the hanger itself. Now I know why a lot of guys get in trouble with these things.

I’ve gained almost half an inch in one month of using the bib hanger. I have 3 separate 5 pound plates, and start my sets off with 15 pounds, taking a plate off whenever it hurts too much until I am left with 5 pounds for a nice, steady light pull.

I will stop at nothing to ensure that I gain 3 inches within 2 years.

Havn’t tried both cloth and theraband. But on a sidenote that Theraband really does help hanger slippage.

I don’t know how to explain it anybetter. Just seems the weight is mostly put on the sides and not much on the top and bottom. For me, this cause too much discomfort and not enough stress on the lig. I have tried adjusting but that didnt’ seem to help. And it has been less than 30 days, and i would like to try the starter. I still think it’s a great product, i can tell alot of work has been put into it. What do i need to include in the return package?

Time,

>Havn’t tried both cloth and theraband. But on a sidenote that Theraband really does help hanger slippage.<

You will find that different wraps, and even different degrees of tightness of the wrap will give completely different feelings. Be sure to try many techniques.

>I don’t know how to explain it anybetter. Just seems the weight is mostly put on the sides and not much on the top and bottom. <

Well, that is the way it is supposed to be. Since you were using the modified Bib, the production models will have a different feel. But they should be more comfortable after you get used to it. I think I said on the website you might need to go down in weight till you get used to it. The top and bottom of the penis is where the most important and sensitive ‘stuff’ is located. The hangers are designed to avoid much pressure in those areas, and concentrate pressure only on the sides of the two CCs.

>For me, this cause too much discomfort and not enough stress on the lig.<

There should be no way the production Bibs will put more or less stress on the ligs. Might be a different feel on the tunica, but the ligs should receive the same stress whether it is a production Bib or modified Bib.

>I have tried adjusting but that didnt’ seem to help.<

There are a infinite number of adjustments that can be made to the hangers. When you change something on the bottom, it affects the top. So it may involve a lot of trial and error. But once you hit on the approximate setting that works for you, it is great.

Send me an email and we can work out the details so there is no screw-ups. It is not a problem.
