Noose Hangers

Currently, I’m using a Zen Hanger which is a noose hanging system. So is their ADS, btw. I’m hanging 5lbs, but I can see/feel that going much further beyond that puts lots of pressure on a small surface area. That can’t be a great idea. I read LG Hanger talking about the dangers of noose hanging. I’ve come to the conclusion that noose hanging above I d’no 7lbs would/could be heading into danger-land.

Conversely, I know of guys doing 10lbs with a noose and no issues.

Thoughts?

Whoa! Am I the only guy using a noose based hanger? If there are any of ye out there I wanted to share with ye that I make 100% certain the noose is never tight. Yes I have experienced it wanting to slide down.. And even off sometimes, but I’ll simply reset it and close it just a wee bit. Never anything major and never never ever cutting off the blood. I do think I’m headed towards and LG hanger. It just seems to make the most sense! I’ll keep the carabiner and eye screw and use it with the LG until I outgrow the weights of the zen.
