I agree, on both points :-)

I.e., I use an ADS after a ‘full’ workout (pumping/clamping/etc.) and also after hanging.

Don’t measure much anymore, either. I just wrap my fingers around the top of the tube when pumping. When I see a half-finger-width increase, I’m happy :-)

I’ll read the Xeno link. I just felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere with length. Thought maybe decon could help. My Homemade Vac hanger works great but just not gaining.

I read your PPM theory chart. Can you explain how you think it pertains to me? Am I not hanging long enough, not enough weight, not enough days in a row or what?

Yes - I put pulleys all around and opposite to my pe-chair, so I can get any desired angle . Straight up and down, left and right, down left and down right, up left and up right, and straight out. Just for between the cheeks I lay down on a bench.

According to the PPM theory (which is not proven…) 1440 PPM per day are needed to grow an inch in a year.

A 2 pounds ADS worn 12 hours a day is said to induce a growth of one inch a year (2 x 12 x 60 = 1440PPM).

9 pounds for 60 minutes make only 540 PPM (9 x 60 = 540) which is roughly one third of te required time/weight ratio, thus leadind to a growth of a third of an inch in a year.

To make 1440 PPM with only one hour training a day, one should be hanging 24 pounds.

If you weren’t using a cable clamp, you weren’t following Captain Hook’s instructions. The Captain’s Wench was never intended to be used without a clamp. That’s like using a Bib Hanger without a top screw. It just doesn’t work.

My personal feeling on Bib Hanger versus Wench is that both are fine for weights under 16# or so. Beyond 16#, the Wench starts to come apart, but hopefully you’ll never need more than 16#.
